Fantastic little garage. I was struggling to find a local garage that would change the pads and disks on my car with uprated part I had already purchased. The guys at max garage had no problem doing this the also managed to fit me in even though they had lots of work on since I was leaving to work away in a few days. All in all a great service and a good price. I would 100% recommend this garage.

Do not recommend this garage! If you need to replace a head gasket or do any other bigger job – do not do it in this garage. I left my car to replace a head gasket which took him over two weeks leaving me without a car for a long time. When I got my car back, the check engine light was on saying the camshaft position is not right. Then, I had to leave my car in the garage for weeks to fix that issue which at the end wasn’t sorted out anyway. In the meantime, he asked me to replace lambda sensor and camshaft position sensor which costed me extra money (over £120) but it still didn’t help. Then, he asked me to replace camshaft sprockets and solenoids which costed me over £300 and this still wasn’t a problem that needed to be sorted. Few months later I left a car with another mechanic who found an issue – the camshaft itself was damaged, valve clearances were not set up properly and the allegedly replaced head gasket was in a deplorable condition. Basically, I paid £550 for a head gasket replacement labour + parts, then another £500 to replace the parts he recommended to replace and at the end of the day I found out that he damaged a camshaft, so all gasket replacement labour needed to be done again. Obviously, they didn’t take any responsibility for the damage they made and didn’t refund me any money. 3-month warranty period is also fake, he does not reply to your phone calls and messages. He’s OK to replace your brake discs and pads but if it comes to bigger job – he’s an amateur and scammer.

STAY CLEAR - avoid at all costs

I purchased a vehicle from this Garage a couple of weeks ago, I drove an hour to the Garage. Whilst on route I was advised the Handbrake needed fixing, that wasn't a problem and we knocked the price down slightly.

Once arriving at the Garage we spoke to the man who assured me all was well with the car and it was safe to drive home with my 2 kids in the car.

I have since taken the car to the garage to have the Handbrake fixed only to find out that the car would never pass another MOT due to rust and corrosion , it also needs the following

Rear Disks and Pads
O/S Shocker
Hand Brake was not attacked either side
Exhausted had been tied up with Tie Wraps

I reached out to the man in question and he blocked me, I then have since reached out to the garage who have ignored me. I have now sent a legal letter

Please stay away from this garage! They sell write off cars without notifying buyer.

We paid £100 deposit to buy a mini on the this guy's eBay, please see the photo below, he did not disclose any write off information at all in the advert. He emailed us with his the detail of his garage, Max Garage, so we trusted him with the car should be alright considering it is a garage. This is because all garages are oblige to disclose any damage etc of the car by law.

We are on the way to pick up the car and carried out the HPI check, turned out the car is a total write off. This guy is trying to break the law and take the chances that people might not check the HPI. We tried to contact him, he ignored our message and phone calls first. Then he was trying to deny the fact that he is the garage and pretend that he only store the car in the garage. I took a screenshot below, on the Max Garage website, his name and phone number are exactly the same as the one he put on eBay and used to contact us! This purchase experience was totally disgrace and as a business, you took the advantage of people's trust to maximize your profit and greed, leave alone selling crushed cars is totally putting people's life under risk. Business like Max Garage should really be avoided! If this is what you are doing, what else you do to maximize your profit?!! If they have done that, I doubt if the MOT genuine on all the car he is selling.
