Might be specialised in undoing nuts and bolts. Any one can read a diagnostic computer but knowing how to fix is a different matter. Go to someone that knows their beans as this guy certainly does not. Scamming people by learning on the job and overcharging for diagnostic. beware!!

After to'ing and froing for month's and Steve ignoring my request to use a mediator I find I have no option but to start action against his garage (Jacks Garage, Taunton) by posting this accurate and honest review in order to protect other's. Steve promised me in writing that with his remapping he could improve the MPG on my Mercedes C200 CDI by 20% for £300. He carried out the work but 1600 mile's later my fuel consumption went down from 44mpg to just under 43mpg. At this point he told me the DPF needed cleaning and he could do it for £60, this also failed so he decided to repeat the process resulting in yet another failure to complete a duty of care to a customer. I am now £412 out of pocket and he refuses to refund my money and I repeat, he has ignored all of my offer's of mediation. At best this garage is incompetent, at worst it is dishonest, you dear reader will have to be the judge. I would strongly recommend using other garage's in the area, there are lots of them. I can substantiate all of my comment's with Email proof. Beware!!

Totally amazing service. The guys knows there stuff. There very welcoming and fixed my car and had no issues since. All ways very friendly on the phone. There prices are very good. Highly recommend this garage to anyone

I used this garage a couple of years ago when the fuel pump needed changing on my 320d. I was driving home from the garage and my the car lost all its engine oil so rang the garage and they came to pick it up and fix the problem. It wasnt till a few months later that I realised that they had over tightened a nut causing the engine casing to crack which is why the car lost the oil and they tried to fix it with some sort of filler. Avoid! Cowboys!

Went with my BMW X5 E70, with a bundle of electrical features, a full diagnostic and software update cleared the electrical handbrake fault with a plan in place for the rest. Steve and Jacks garage are now on my go to list for my BMW woes.

Steve is now my go to guy for anything BMW. I had a a variety of nonsense faults on my F11 530D and every garage told me I needed a new ecu and set about randomly swapping sensors. Steve is able to actually test and diagnose each part, working the problem, and in the end worked out it was actually my alternator at fault. He has the proper BMW kit and updated everything for me. Jacks are one of the few garages I have confidence in.
