I've always been apprehensive about trying a new garage but since we've recently moved, it made sense to try a new one. I came here for an MOT yesterday and couldn't have been any happier with the service provided. I was worried I'd be ripped off and told everything was wrong with my car but that couldn't be further from the truth. I'll definitely be returning. Thank you for being a local trusting garage.

Stars Garage are exactly the kind of garage I like. Friendly and helpful staff, easy to contact and quick turnaround. They make having an MOT and service an easy process, can't ask for more than that.

Good but expensive- I have used this garage for nearly ten years and have told so many people how amazing they are…until today. Today I was charged £72 to diagnose a wheel bearing fault….to diagnose a wheel baring fault; thought it was worth repeating that. Sadly the days of free courtesy cars, post work car wash and free quotes are clearly gone.

I used this garage for many years. I was attracted by the very low MOT price. They are a family firm there is no mistaking. However my experience is that the 'estimates' (quotes) they give you for work required turn out to be half or even a third of the final cost. I really don't see how these can be called estimates if they are so wildly inaccurate. Personally I've had enough and I won't be returning!

I have never experienced such awful service. The considerably abrupt telephonist was very rude when I reminded her that I had a group on voucher (she never asked if I had one on the phone) note don’t sell groupon vouchers if you don’t like people using them. The MOT failed which is an acceptable risk when sending in a car for an MOT. The telephonist then told me that ‘she weren’t going to get a quote tonight’ as she wanted to go home. I received a quote in excess of £1200 which was finalised with the telephonist’s mechanical opinion. It was daylight robbery. I then took the car to another garage and had the brakes sorted (and something else that the car failed on that Stars Garage did not detect) for half the price of the quote. In summary, the MOT was not to a safe standard, the customer service was terrible, the garage clearly charge according to how they feel on the day. I would never use this garage again, and never recommend it either. Note this is not the first bad experience myself or friends have had with this garage.

My car wouldn't start following a recent minor accident and the garage I normally use had recently closed due to retirement and my breakdown cover doesn't include homestart. I rely on my car for work so called Stars at 5pm on a Thursday - they came out to my property just after 6pm that evening and diagnosed the problem, took my car to the garage and fixed all the issues I had. I then had a call just after 9am the next day to say it was ready to be picked up! Without a doubt the best service I have ever received from a garage (been driving 28 years) and I will be using them for all service, MOT and repairs going forward. Highly recommended, absolutely brilliant service 🙂

The hidden gem of Cardiff.

This is a garage you can trust and I hope they're around forever. Service is fantastic and the staff are all very honest and friendly. They're a rarity in this day and age and I really don't mind paying a little more knowing what I'm getting is quality service, parts and knowledge. I know I'm in safe hands and will be trusting this garage for a long time. I couldn't recommend this place more.
