Very happy with the service provided. They never rip you off like some backstreet garages. Been going to this garage for 3 years now with 2 different cars. Work is carried out in good time and you get booked in without too much waiting. We'll recommended.

Been using these guys for years. Never once had an issue... They always do an amazing job on the cars I've taken there. They've saved me a small fortune over the years... You'll never feel like you've been taken for a ride and getting ripped off which has happend with other garages in the past. All the staff are friendly which is another bonus.. Highly recommend using them you won't find many better garages.

Son was DOUBLE charged for one fix - this was his experience:

Brought the car in with an oil leak from the sump. They phoned and said that they’d replaced the sump plug and that it would “might have worked, but it may have to be brought in again if that repair hasn’t worked.”

When I returned to the car, I noticed there a small puddle of fresh oil under the sump but assumed these drips could have come from excess/a messy refill.

After returning home, it was clear the problem was not fixed and I booked the car back in.

As they had explained that their repair job might not work, I wondered if it had been a botch job, so I went and bought a replacement sump plug from the SEAT garage. If they diagnosed the problem correctly as the sump plug, why would replacing it not fix the issue?

When I took the sump plug out, I noticed it had been fastened very tightly, but the crush washer had not been crushed at all. (Some brief tests after removing it showed that it could not even be scratched with pliers, so it was clearly not a genuine crush washer.)

While under the car, I noticed a significant crack in the sump where the sump plug screws in. Had the garage simply wiped around the plug after changing it, and observed it for 15seconds they would have noticed that oil was still leaking heavily and that they had not repaired the problem.

I called before returning the car and explained that they had missed the large crack in the sump and that it needed a new sump. The car went in and they called after a day and a half to say that the car was ready to collect.

When I went to collect the car, I was billed £275 for the repair. I asked that he subtract from the total the £22 charged last week for the failed repair and reminded them that they had missed the large crack responsible for the leak, which the garage freely admitted.

However, I was told that “I’d been informed that the repair might not work, I would have to pay the full price on top of the original failed job I was charged for.”

By that logic, I assume the manager would happily pay a restaurant twice for a raw chicken dish that should have been cooked and then the actual cooked dish. I assume that he would also be satisfied that the chef had told him there was a chance his first chicken was as raw.

Just Google other Cardiff garages for transparent and honest customer service.

Can highly recommend, helped me out with a dreaded suspension coil spring replacement, a nasty job not without risk of personal injury if it went wrong.
Happy to say all went well and I am back on the road. Well done Llanishen garage. Thumbs up from me.

I have used Llanishen garage for years so has my family, But after my last visit and a £700+ bill and to be told my car was ready.
So I go down to pick it up and they said it wasn't ready because one of their incompetent mechanics cracked the glow plug while I was on my way to collect only to be told its not ready! So I had to wait longer and they charged me an extra £60 on top of my original bill, yes I did pay the extra like a mug.
Two weeks later my car broke down ,had relayed to the dealership to find out that the glow plug wasn't correctly fitted by Llanishen garage . This alone knocks my faith in them and I will never use or recommend Llanishen garage again .
