Had Salt Beef beigels twice at the Yellow One. Both times not busy! Very juicy and not dry. Sausage rolls lack a bit of flavour.

Typical tourist trap with Auschwitz style customer service, rude and medieval. They blatantly ignore you if you don't look 'local', The place looks messy and not clean. Don't believe the hype, the food is actually below average, the bagel shop a few doors to the right is way better, and cheaper.

I wasn't expecting much as I've never thought much about Bagels eaten in the past but knew this place was popular for a reason so gave it a try. Salt beef with gherkin and mustard was absolutely delish. Will worth the visit.

Beigel Shop on Brick Lane is the older but not as popular (going by the queues) as it's neighbour Beigel Bake. This was the first time I visited Beigel Shop, it was less busy and the ladies serving were friendly. I got a sesame seed bagel with the classic salt beef, mustard and a gherkin plus a slice of cheesecake for afters. I would say Beigel Bake shades it because there was more mustard and salt beef in my bagel when I went there before and it tasted better. But I would be willing to go to Beigel Shop again as it wasn't bad and perhaps during the day other than at night when I visited the salt beef might be fresher. I would suggest trying both bagel shops a couple of times with different fillings then it would be possible to gage which is truly better.

I love coming here whenever I'm in the area and feeling hungry.

My personal favourite is a tuna and cheese beigel - tastes even nicer when it's heated up in the store's microwave.

Staff are always friendly, talkative and have a smile on their face.

Prices of beigels with various fillings are competitively priced.

Beef was melt in your mouth tender, beigel was perfect combination of chewyness, crispy bottom and softness. As good if not better than the place next door!

This is a classic London shop that has been serving the Brick Lane community for many years. The staff are really friendly, funny and knowledgeable about the local area and places to visit. The food was first rate and really reasonably priced. In my opinion this is a “must visit” venue on the way to Spittlefield Market. The best thing it is open 24/7, 365 days a year! Simply amazing place.

The difference between the Yellow Beigel shop and next door are:
① This one established at 1855, which is over a century older.
② This one sales bacon, which means it's not a kosher place.
③ This one add gherkin to salt beef beigel is 30p
④ This one has a lot of colourful cakes.
⑤ This one's salt beef has thinner slice, which is slightly dryer.
