Lovely little local bakery with a good selection of tasty fare. I knew it would be good when I saw the queue going out of the door. Friendly staff and a welcome site after taking a leisurely trip on the steam train. There’s a few pretty places to sit down and eat nearby and if you go across the road there’s a map showing the directions to a picnic area.

Nice little homemade bakery products that are at good price.
Highly recommend the steak bake which uses a rich wine red beef and the florentine which was delicious! It is a perfect stop next to the Corfe castle.

I'm overegging the review just to offset the mask obsessed ones. I actually entered without a mask accidentally (first time since the first lockdown). It's easily done when you've spent a few days wandering the great outdoors, but I sure as heck would have whacked one on my face if asked. As it was, I was scuttling for the door when the place began to fill up.

This place is a 3.75-4.20 star kind of place. Serviceable looking sausage rolls and cakes for reasonable prices. Piles of solid looking mass produced loaf cakes to take home to relatives. We bought some dorset apple cake (dense, cinnamony and slightly dry) and a Lardy cake (giant). Staff were masked and lovely and polite.

Great bakery. I've been coming here on and off for about a decade and I've never been unhappy. It's quite funny reading all of the negative reviews from adults acting like children because they were asked to wear a mask.

Imagine letting something so trivial ruin your day. I for one am glad that they're all not returning customers because it will make the bakery a much nicer place to frequent.

Used this bakery for several years whilst staying locally for a walking holiday and the standard has always been excellent. What on earth has happened this year? We always picked up fresh, tasty rolls.. not this time! No choice, if rolls even available and staff seem unhappy and totally disinterested in helping customers. We were informed that they have a staff shortage, which we can understand could cause problems but surely serving customers takes priority over cleaning the ceiiling. If there is no fresh produce available, why open at all? Hope things are better next year.

An amazing bakery which I go to often (lived in the village my whole life), friendly staff, an amazing selection of food at fair prices and in my opinion the best sausage rolls I've ever had. I'd definitely 100% recommend

My wife and I were treated badly by this baker today 31st Aug. 21 after the man in the shop he shouted at us when we stepped in to see on what we could buy from them .
On the 19th July we were all told it's up to you if you want to wear a face covering or not .
You can ask yes but if you don't wear one thats up to you he was only prepared to serve us from the door not good enough so we took our money elsewere , he did not accept the fact my wife still has her old mask exemption card showing .
