Lots of delicious and fresh baked goods. It gets really busy, but they are fairly fast. Seating inside and outside, but would recommend getting there early if you want a seat.

A popular cafe on a Sunday afternoon, wide variety of sweet and savoury treats and lots of choice of hot drinks. We sat outside and had a great view of the Clock Tower. Staff were attentive and polite. The cheese and chive scone was delicious 🤤

Nice little bakery with great coffee service and all day treats.

Great location in the shopping plaza. We had a single shot macchiato and sticky pecan cake.

The best coffee shop in St Albans and the best chain overall in the UK.

Only thing is I wished they used more butter on their croissants .. I visit all Gail’s around London and St Albans is my least favourite for the croissants.

Unfortunately I cannot provide a no-star review, or better yet a minus-star review.

This was, easily, the worst Gail's I have been to. We waited for a very long time for the food; the sandwich was burnt and the waitress was surprised when I mentioned it, I don't think she had even noticed! I wish I had ordered a croissant, it's what everyone else was having (clearly they knew something I didn't). Or better yet, I should have asked for a refund and gone to Nero's next door.

If this was the first time I was visiting a Gail's, I would never ever venture into another one. I am certainly never returning to the one in St. Albans.

Looking at the other reviews, I am expecting a boilerplate reply. What's the point?

Over priced bad coffee and food. Worst flat white I've ever had and toilet was a mess with no hand or toilet paper. Put me off Gail's for good!

This is a victim of its own success. Arriving around 1:15 PM. for lunch to find our favoured choices to be 'sold out!' Busy as usual on a Saturday. Slightly disappointing as a result!

Without doubt the worst Gail's I have been to. Extremely long wait for very poor food. I wondered why all the other customers seemed to be ordering croissants and coffee only, but when the food arrived it was clear that the chef has no idea. Somebody from Gail's please visit and do some training.
