I purchased a cupcake from Saima's stand at the Ideal Home Show. All her cakes looked appetising & she took the time to describe what each cake contained. It was one of the best cakes I've ever tasted and for that reason I'm leaving her a review & will be keeping her details for future reference. The sponge was so light & fluffy & the taste was very refreshing. Really was superb in flavour & presentation.

We booked afternoon tea at saima’s tea house for 12 people and it was beyond expectations . The selection of canapés was amazing and omg the scones were so delicious that i can still taste thm. And do ask for special tea its a must have. Overall it was 10/10..

The most amazing and delicious cakes, cup cakes and tea cakes are made by Saima. I have been enjoying her hand made sweet stuff for over a year now, for business and personal use.

I have seen her business development since beginning and her products just get better and better.

I recommend her products with full confidence. I am sure you all will equally enjoy and appreciate her hand made cakes.

I was not impressed at all from the service to the food I hate wasting food however I took one bite of the scone and had no more - it definentely wasn't fresh and tasted like "paper". The cakes on the counter looked like they were days old????? I was confused
...never will I return again or indeed recommend it to anyone!

Disappointed by this to be honest & would give it a 1 star if I didn’t feel sorry for the owner: she seemed miserable & stressed when I went to the store.

The food I was given seemed sub-par: a cheese sandwich & two dry looking muffins. I ended up giving the sandwich to a homeless person. My wife (who is normally a cake lover took a pass on the muffin). This is a real shame because the concept behind “Saima’s tea room” has so much promise: a great idea located in an upmarket retailer let down by poor execution & unfriendly staff.

My tips:

1. Offer a decent product. You should delight customers not disappoint them.

2. Have a smile on your face & engage in a bit of banter. Doesn’t cost a penny.

3. Invest in your store: the seating looked functional, not very cosy or comfortable. Your store should be a “go-to destination” for tea lovers.

I won’t be back but hope this feedback helps. Great concept, poor execution.

The place is quite pretty but not really in a location possible to thrive which might explain the poor quality of the food. Got the sandwich platter for £7 it was a very sparsely filled tuna Mayo sandwich on ordinary thin brown bread and the side salad was 4 x thin slices if cucumber and 4 x thin slices of tomato. I think they should research the word platter. They were really lovely and they get the stars but not really what was advertised.

Saima's Tea Room is my favourite place in the whole of Croydon. The Vintage Tea Room gives you a much needed respite from the business of the High Street and the freshly baked goods are just heavenly!

The scones here are always so hot and fresh and the staff are super nice and friendly, they really go out of their way to give you the best service. I had the vegan scones and they were delicious.
