Massive choice of sandwiches, toasties, pasties etc, great alternative to the same-same chain bakers

Nice enough but have bought two apple turnovers on different occasions and there appears to be hardly any apple inside and not enough icing ontop. The prob is they are too large for the fillings they so sparingly put inside. Gutted

The bakery has recently changed hands and changed from 'Belly Busters' to 'Mayvin's Bakery'. The change has not been a good one. A noticeable drop in quality; cheap ingredients and (what appear to be supermarket bought) pastries/doughnuts etc. being sold at higher prices. They obviously have no care for customer experience and bother themselves only with 'the bottom line'. I have been frequenting this bakery for almost a decade, but after several second-chances they have now lost a regular customer.

Very nice staff. Very clean and make very lovely sandwiches and rolls coffee is the best. Good parking that helps a lot. I will be going back when in that area. Lovely place 👍👌

Purchased a Belgian bun. It was stale, dry and obviously not fresh. I phoned the shop and was told that it must have been put out by mistake, by one of his staff. Sorry! As they're supposed to be baking fresh everyday, I was surprised by his remarks! Surely, you bake, you package it, you sell it. Anything left at the end of the day, you dispose of. It seems to me that doesn't happen! Wouldn't recommend.

I ordered from here on Uber Eats. Someone called as they had ran out of the freshly baked apple pies and offered me something else. I was really impressed with the quality of food. The sour dough bread was so very tasty. And the cakes were great. I wi definitely be ordering from here again, and can't wait for the lockdown to be over so I can actually go in.

Friendly, welcoming staff but I ordered a Cappuccino and it was revolting. It came out like a double espresso with a dash of milk.
