Not normally having a Sweet Tooth - This Cherry Cake is loaded with fruit and flavour.
I know Demand would far exceed Production should your Product become widely known ... Then Standards tend to inevitably fall. Please do not let this happen.

Bought a cherry cake yesterday from heron foods and had a little slice of it and it seemed a little dry. Today I went to get some more it was dry as heck and smelt like a musty old cupboard. Checked the date and that was OK. Shame it looked really nice on the shelf.

Today I bought one of their farmhouse cakes and it was the worst I have ever had, overcooked,dry as sawdust, texture of cardboard and with a heavy salty ascorbic aftertaste---as a good baker myself I do know what I am talking about, New Crown need to seriously improve their quality.

Bought a Cherry slice & it's awful. I don't mean that it wasn't to my taste, I mean that it tasted offensive & I spat it out. I don't know if this is from a bad batch or this is a typical sample, but I will never buy any of their produce again.

Bought a Genoa cake from my local Heron food shop yesterday. I was very disappointed that it was so incredibly dry I couldn't eat it, although the sell by date was August this year. I normally love all the cakes this bakery makes, it may make me think before bothering to purchase again even though I'm a great fan of this bakery

Can’t comment on the cakes but when there’s a heavy goods vehicle delivering flour in the morning rush hour it causes chaos!
