Lawtons Quality Pie Shop

We had breakfast here. Absolutely smashing and good value. Went back and got pies to take home for tea. Cakes looked yummy.

Disappointed by my visit, the doorstep appeal was there. Unfortunately the food didn't meet the expectations. It was the equivalent to a greasy spoon. The steak pie was mince beef or rather mince gristle. It looked like someone had thrown the food on the plate from the other side of the kitchen. First visit to leek and wished I'd chosen better.

Discovered by accident, now regular customer. Being housebound I am dependent on family or friends to order and collect but well worth the wait. These pies are a ray of sunshine in a grey life!

Wait wait your food is coming no its not people came in after served, wait wait tea came wait wait
The simple order of omelet and chips came with a halo of burnt eggs, chips refried and again refried
Left without trying for money back lost the will to try
Going hungry!

A bit hard work ordering food & getting it to the table. & very disappointing there are no toilets in the cafe. But food was good

Ace coffee and pies been going there for nearly 50 yrs.as good now as it was then
