Greggs

Greg's is always ready to offer a bargain. No wonder the chain is so successful. I try to avoid pastry and their type of food, but the coffees are good value for money and if I am starving, I will be tempted by a baguette, which in this instance I really enjoyed.

Quite possibly the worst Greggs in the UK. Either the sandwiches aren't stocked up, the pasties behind the glass are empty/burnt or they don't have any breakfast stuff.

This is not a one time thing either, that could be forgiven, this is a build up over months of poor service.

Literally went in there the other day to grab a Sausage sandwich.. queue was fairly large, but everyone was getting to the front to be told they had nothing in effectively. Guy Infront asked for a bacon sandwich, was told no bacon, asked for sausage and egg instead, was told no eggs, then asked for a sausage baguette...again no baguettes Then he just put his drink back and noped out.

Complete waste of time, go to subway or crusty cob instead, at least they deserve your custom.

Greg's is a great bakery. I go there for a tea or coffee. Because I am not good with bread or pastry, or any of their food items, I cannot comment on the food which always looks good, but is do unhealthy that I cannot eat it, even for a treat, as it would leave me feeling bloated and unwell. But that is just me, and its food is obviously very popular, but, likely to add to future health issues of eaten too often.

I am always up early so I go into the highstreet get a paper then go over the road and buy some lovely hot sausage rolls 😋

I fancied a hot sausage roll but was told they weren't hot anymore as they'd been standing a while. They wouldn't warm one up for me so I settled with a doughnut, walked down the road and picked up a pack of 8 sausage rolls then used the corner shop microwave to warm a couple up.
