After traveling the world, hands down Jo and the team make one of, if not the best flat white I've ever had!
Along with this there's a great ambiance, open kitchen, delicious homemade treats, sandwiches and a very generous serving of frittata! Can't recommend this place more and dont bother getting a coffee anywhere else!

The best coffee in Exeter. The best cake in Exeter. The best staff in Exeter.

Never a bad experience here. The staff are always willing to have a chat where there is time and the coffee/cake/food is absolutely fantastic, especially the Banana Bread!

A quick visit for a cup of coffee to go before catching a train from Exeter Central. Situated next to the station stopped for a latte as I NEEDED one, honestly I did. The difference was stunning compared to other high street coffee shops, you know the ones I mean. (the ones that taste like a rusty nail)
The presentation of the coffee was sublime the barrista was obviously skilled and new his craft. The taste was smooth and fresh and required savouring across the whole pallette. The aroma was of fresh arabica beans ................... and well you know there's only so much you can say about a cup of coffee but WOW.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND A VISIT FOR A COFFEE.

Coffee and the almond croissants are great. However, the customer service could be much better. On many occasions, some of the staff have been quite dismissive and short, especially the guy with glasses and lots of tattoos. It technically is dog friendly and I've been going with my dog for a while now but on several occasions, I've been ordered to sit away from the counters, other times staff are more welcoming. Would rather go elsewhere that stocks their cakes and pastries with better service.

Just ok, really.

Prime spot opposite the college and next to the station, but it was strangely quiet and had no atmosphere (middle of the day, lunch time). Service was miserable, like I was an inconvenience. Coffee was strong, but properly roasting hot and it needed to cool down for a long time. Tasty once we got there. Brownie was excellent.

Mixed bag overall, and I preferred visiting 2-3 years ago.

Brilliant and authentic cafe, right next to Exeter Central station, offering a range of drinks, fresh bread, sandwiches, cakes, coffee beans and well sourced range of wines, cider, but no beer unfortunately.

Outdoor seating probably the best place to be in Exeter when the afternoon sun is out. Cakes lovely too and coffee art is a nice touch too.

Bought some Chocolate Almond Brownies from Fortnum and Mason as a gift, made by The Exploding Bakery. Opened the box to find an undecorated, uncut, sad looking slab of brownie. Described in multiple places on the box as brownies, not just a slab, not sure how anyone can justify trying to charge £18 for this.
