Bleeding ridiculous. Feel truly messed about, after first going and the woman I had an appointment with had left to go home I signed up online. All went well. Until I had to go back down 4 times! To confirm my address, calling me into branch with letters, to me that's idiotic. Giving variations of the same letter I receive an email to say I wasn't accepted.

If you want an actual decent bank go elsewhere!!

Very good service with helpful staff. Always someone available on the help-desk (unlike my local branch in Nelson).

Majority of the counter staff I have found to be extremely officious. No longer let you pay small amounts of cash into a relatives account due to 'money laundering' and 'reducing criminal activity'.

Force you to pay into your own account (assuming you have one) then transfer it. I've seen someone roll up at the next window with several hundred pounds of cash to pay into an account that wasn't theirs and did it, no questions asked!

I don't believe the counter staff are following Halifax policy as they even refused to let me pay cheques in my relatives name from other financial institutions into their account.. the automated machine usually doesn't work either.

Overall good experience on the app , dealing with my last card situation . App messages can keep you well informed with all aspects.

Went into Burnley branch to activate the card , which arrived in the post after three day's .
Good long hours at the bank, set up activation mid afternoon, 7 out 10 for customer service and general atmosphere . Excellent location .

I came into your Burnley branch today at 1.30pm. The young gentleman seeing to everyone at the main was absolutely brilliant. There were serval impatient and rude customers infront of me and he handled the situation so perfessionally and calmly.
You were doing a fantastic job of making everyone safe and guiding people to the correct location!
I can only apologise on behalf of the other rude customers and assume they were just having a bad day.

Why, oh why, do you keep messing around with the app ? It's becoming an absolute nightmare, simply trying to view my account !! Please STOP tampering with it, and keep it simple. Remember.....not everyone has a degree in astro-physics !!!
