Lloyds Bank

I visited this branch on the 12th of September 2015 in order to open a new account where I was served by one of the lady staff with two others, a bloke and another lady, on the side watching and gossiping in a very unprofessional way. Interesting enough, those people were gossiping in the same place half an hour ago when I popped in for a quick query about the bank address and when I got back there later on I was surprisingly told that they were too busy right now so I needed to come back next week to do my business as they are currently short of manpower and very busy. I personally didn't think that they were busy enough to tell me that, it can be clearly seen if they were working, or at least should have given me more advise or suggestions. It seemed like the staff were too hurried to push the customer away so that they can resume the gossip again. I was quite shocked to see such unprofessional manners in a huge establishment like this. i went there to open a bank account last year, and the customer service was very helpful. i can open my account immediately, though the ATM card arrived two weeks later. The cashier lady also very kind, she showed me how to put in deposit on the ATM machine (these days everyone supposed to be familiar with those automatic deposit machine, yet she still showed me happily).

In and out within a few minutes with a 30 second queue for the cashier, speedy service on a Saturday morning just after opening time. This bank has more cashiers than other banks I've been to with a nice layout. Polite staff with an assistant just inside the entrance.

I was opening account for my 13 year old .All staff very helpfull,quick appointment to open account.Luke H ,he was amazing,helpfull.He explain everything with details how this account working and help with online banking.My son was very exited to his first account.Thank you Luke H. and Lloyds .

Racist staff and unhelpful expect for a couple of people working there. Ended up using the branch in London Road but after they closed that branch I just closed my account and opened one with barclays and it's way easier and better

I had a ' problem ' with one of my documents to open an account. Turns out there actually wasn't an issue, and that the staff member just did not really understand my specific case ( it was an address change ). I carefully explained myself and gave that staff member many ways to verify my explanation and they just told me they do not want to go ahead with opening the new account, and to go to another bank. Moreover, the lady right in front of me in line, had her request to open a student account denied over one small spelling error, and was told she had to start the application process all over again. In conclusion, that staff member was extremely unhelpful and I would suggest going to another bank which would love to have you as a customer and try their best to assist you if you have any issues. I went to another bank, and this ' issue ' I had with my address was not even brought up as they completely understood my situation, and opened a bank account for me very easily.
