One of the staff held my debit card below the counter doing something with it and when I asked what he was doing he was very, very sheepish and guilty looking...I guess he was never pulled up before because of peoples' fear of being called racist. I changed my pin number immediately. The other staff generally are quite unfriendly and slow...so I only go there if I really need to, my business generates a lot of cash sales, so I found another way to deposit. I could move, which I have, but it's close by so keep open for convenience.

Trying to book a re-mortgage appointment with them was a bit of a joke. They couldn't access most of the schedules of the other branches, and the next Saturday appt was in 6-8 weeks. Then tried Nationwide next door, who were much more professional and organized, and got me an appt quickly. Night and day. Needless to say, Nationwide is now my mortgage provider.

The staff are actually useless. They're really slow and confused. All the four and five star reviews are probably from staff and their family.

UPDATE: Have gone in twice now to ask for a cheque book to be sent to my address. The first time nothing was sent: the lady who was dealing with my request seemed bewildered and kept asking her colleague what to do, and the result was absolutely nothing. Second time I received a paying in book instead of a cheque book. The levels of incompetence at this branch are stunning.

Terrible experience in this Seven Sisters Road Branch. On my visit, one of the staff there was unhelpful and lazy, didn't follow best practice, made up compliance procedures, ignored written procedures written on letter.

I do not use the counter service but I love the fact that I can withdraw money from the cash point within the branch. It just feels safer and very rarely do I have to queue to do this.

Insanely incompetent staff, I don’t understand how this bank can allow people who clearly have no idea what they’re doing to be at the forefront.
I came to be ID’d but because there wasn’t a person qualified for it amongst all the staff present it took very long. They have been passing my papers from one person to another openly discussing that none of them can do it, then proceeded to have casual chats for another half hour
Then my documents were checked but it was 5pm and they prepared to close so in the end they didn’t confirm my ID. The attitude of the staff was very unprofessional and the overall experience was a waste of time

I've had the most pleasant experience at this branch today, all the staff were incredibly professional, helpful and super nice, especially Hulya and BeeBee! Not sure why the reviews are so negative, I was genuinely impressed with the service! 5 stars is not enough!
