No point complaining just be prepared for waiting around, so be patient, take a book/music and your legs better be strong for all the standing.
Matthew is the MAN!! He was polite, kind and full of help. He assisted me and my grandma and provided great service with an awesome attitude. God-bless you Matthew and also thanks to the blonde at the desk (sorry I don't remember your name) with a positive attitude, especially in the chaos and receiving looks of death and laser eyes from customers.
Thank you and God-bless everyone.
For context, I am an old customer of Barclays and no longer have an account with them. I needed the bank statements from when I held an account with them. I first logged this request over the phone three weeks ago, the staff told me they would be mailed within 10 working days but the statements never arrived. I called Barclays again this morning, to be told by a different agent I need to visit a branch so my identity could be verified. When I got to the branch, I was almost turned away because apparently Barclays no longer prints statements in branches, so they asked me to request this over the phone to have the statements mailed (!!)
Given I am no longer a Barclays account holder, the branch staff could have easily brushed me off and make me go back to the phone, but Alisa didn't. She was sympathetic to my story and decided to try to access my closed account from her laptop, and to print things off manually from there. It was an incredibly tedious job, navigating to the different months over the years, through the various notices being sent out by Barclays, with buffering printing request, etc... but she overstayed her scheduled hours and got it done! Just wanted to say thank you, Alisa. Barclays is lucky to have you.
