Absolutely appalling customer experience here today! All I wanted to do was pay in a cheque for a friend. Waited 50 minutes in the queue only to be told by the (only) cashier "You could have done that yourself on one of the machines". I asked why there was nobody there to tell me that. She said there should be someone. There wasn't. Whilst she was processing my friend's cheque someone did come out and speak to another customer in the queue. "There she is!" said the cashier. 50 minutes too late for me... So glad I'm not a Barclays customer myself!

The slowest service I have ever received. At the counter they’ve only put one person and i’ve been in the line for half an hour and i haven’t moved forward not even one bit! Honestly, if you want better and faster service go to another branch because this one’s awful!

My husband deposited approximately £380 into my child's junior ISA via the cash machine. The machine took the money, but never put it in her account. The cashier wasn't surprised when he complained, he said to another staff member that its done it again. They filled out a form and then said the money would be put into the account the following day and that they will call. They did neither! I'm furious! They better sort this out fast or I'm going to the Financial Conduct Authority and the ombudsman!

Quite small and long lines. Make sure you're early but there's a line outside from opening times.

No point complaining just be prepared for waiting around, so be patient, take a book/music and your legs better be strong for all the standing.

Matthew is the MAN!! He was polite, kind and full of help. He assisted me and my grandma and provided great service with an awesome attitude. God-bless you Matthew and also thanks to the blonde at the desk (sorry I don't remember your name) with a positive attitude, especially in the chaos and receiving looks of death and laser eyes from customers.

Thank you and God-bless everyone.

Came in at eight at closing on a Friday and the staff were incredibly helpful. They were efficient and friendly. All you can really ask for.

I went to ask about a cheque of £300 I paid in but only £100 went through. Woman there seemed rude/didnt believe me. Not helpful or welcoming. 2 stars and not 1 because the shop was warm

I would like to personally thank Alisa. She spent an hour today with me until branch closing time, just to make sure I get some old bank statements.

For context, I am an old customer of Barclays and no longer have an account with them. I needed the bank statements from when I held an account with them. I first logged this request over the phone three weeks ago, the staff told me they would be mailed within 10 working days but the statements never arrived. I called Barclays again this morning, to be told by a different agent I need to visit a branch so my identity could be verified. When I got to the branch, I was almost turned away because apparently Barclays no longer prints statements in branches, so they asked me to request this over the phone to have the statements mailed (!!)

Given I am no longer a Barclays account holder, the branch staff could have easily brushed me off and make me go back to the phone, but Alisa didn't. She was sympathetic to my story and decided to try to access my closed account from her laptop, and to print things off manually from there. It was an incredibly tedious job, navigating to the different months over the years, through the various notices being sent out by Barclays, with buffering printing request, etc... but she overstayed her scheduled hours and got it done! Just wanted to say thank you, Alisa. Barclays is lucky to have you.
