This branch will screw you over. Period. In all manners, they are unmatchable in hypocrisy, as they will make you feel bad about policies which are apparent barriers; however, and most importantly, these are utter bullshit. For example, the first time I went to this branch, they told me that they cannot help me by any means (against rule/law/policy) because my address is in North London and I should visit a local branch. A quick call to Barclay's Accounts will tell you that that barrier doesn't exist, which the person told you so compassionately you about.

Completely disgusted with the level of service we had. We booked this appointment two weeks ago and the employee we had the appointment with kept complaining that he should be at lunch or should have went 10 minutes ago. At the end he made an excuse for not seeing us and we wasted our time. NEVER go to this branch, they do not care about their customers, but only themselves.

Today I went to set up my account at this Barclays branch and I have to say it was such a positive experience. Even there were some technical difficulties, I think the staff did their best to serve everyone on time and effectively and I have to appreciate that. They are extremely focused on customers' needs and going to this bank was a pleasure. It was a pleasant surprise.

I am completely appalled by the service we have just received from the Barclay's branch on barking Street, we made an appointment last week to open a joint account. It is a 40 minute commute to get there, only to arrive and be told, after not being seen for 10 minutes, that the person that was supposed to see us was not in and phoned to try and change the booking. Neither of us received a message, or a voice-mail on our phones, I received a text yesterday 02/02 to confirm our booking this morning at 11. The people on duty refused to help us. Only after waiting 40 minutes did one of the ladies Come through, to see her other appointment, to say if we are willing to wait until that appointment was complete they could possibly assist us. Another employee came through, a male, saying he has to see his appointments and then go on lunch. If you are wanting new customers, this is not the service that we expect. We left the branch and have not opened our joint account. The manager on duty shifted the blame, and said unfortunately she only works the on a Saturday, so cannot assist.

First I've seen the overall rate and read reviews about bad customer service so I went there bit "afraid" and not knowing what to expect. Turned out staff was helpful, everything went smooth and easy and I've managed to do my thing in about 10 minutes with private attendant. 5 stars!

Arrived five minutes early for an appointment. Then waited one hour and five minutes with no explanation as to why. Then the employee came over and asked for us by name. Then said "Oh sorry, I didn't know you were here." Open concept floor, no reason to not check for an entire hour.

Staff are customer friendly. The opening and closing timing are also better compared to other banks. You can do most of the stuff with the self service machines and can withdraw up to £2k in cash.

I stood in a queue outside for 20 minutes waiting for my turn. An employee came and asked us to enter. As soon as we entered another employee came a kicked us back out. Had to go back to the line and wait another fifteen minutes to get in.. its the worst bank i ever went to....
