Well don't ring up HSBC for any customer service! 20 minute wait - how awful is that ! WHY HAVE A BUSINESS BANK IF NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE.

What to say about the Hong Kong-Shanghai Banking Corporation, in Stroud, well, there's the interest rate: nil, zilch, nothing. Beginning as we intend to carry on, I see. Then there's the time I lost my card, and their response was (somewhat paraphrasing) "We'll get a replacement to your address in Stroud in a week or so." The fact that when that card gets to my address in Stroud, Gloucestershire, I'm going to be in Urumqi, in China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region notwithstanding. "Of course there's no way we can get it to you sooner, I mean what do you want us to do, make a new one here!? This isn't Star Trek, you know."
Then we have letting me become overdrawn (it's a debit card, why is that even possible), with no attempt as far as I can tell to contact me "Nah, just stick a £5/day overdraft charge on it, that ought to get his attention."
then there's the cash point outside the branch "retaining" another card just after closing time. There's a guy standing right next to the door, whose attention I can get, but he pretty much gestures to me to piss off (feelings mutual, mate), so I have go home, negotiate one the least user friendly telephone services I've been through, and cancel the card, so no convenient money for the next week or so [aggressively sarcastic thumbs up].
And lets not forget the staff's attitude, which seems constantly set to a kind of dreary politeness; never an "oh, I'm sorry to hear that, Mr Thornton", not even an attempt to justify themselves, almost like it never ever occurs to them that what they are doing might be considered a little shoddy, which comes across as pretty rude to me.
In summary, try to avoid them if you can, I would probably have cancelled already if I didn't have too many things going through them.

trying to make an appointment is ridiculous amount of time and for a business account almost impossible - what is going on, do they have difficulty in employing competent people???

been eyeing up this place for years i've got the blueprints, air vent tunnels and multiple areas where the security is at a minimal, got the lockpicks and all the necessary things, as soon as i break in you can expect a fortnite dance off with the security team, don't tell them but i'm going to unleash my beast and skill and floss like a boss :( !

Waited 30 minutes to cash a cheque as the machine was broken. When someone finally appeared, they were incredibly rude and were exasperated as to why I couldn't use the app (banked with a subsidiary of HSBC, therefore couldn't do it remotely).

I have been stood in a queue in Stroud branch for a long time. No one has come to serve anyone of us. They have walked passed and gone to make tea. But nothing going on! I need to withdraw cash and can't use the machine!!!

Closed for refurb for 8 to 10 weeks nearest branch 9 miles.
