Phoned to see what I.D. I'd need to take to the branch to open a new account but got put through to national line. After a lengthy period of pressing buttons to arrive at the service I wanted, a message said that I would have a 30 minute wait. No reflection on the Llangollen branch but do I want to bother with Barclays now?

Visited Llangollen on a Thursday . Card eaten by cash machine. Left with no cash , turns out several people lost their cards. Branch shut at 1:15pm!! Not open until Friday . Phoned the designated number for Barclays Llangollen . Took 17 minutes and 2 ‘customer service ‘ operatives to be told …. Nothing !!! Second chap didn’t even know where Llangollen was! He sounded Asian and said he was not based in uk . Welcome to 21st century banking with Barclays - embarrassingly bad . Meanwhile HSBC cancelled my card thank goodness !
