We popped in for a few drinks, nice warm atmosphere and barstaff were very welcoming. Would definitely recommend a visit, we didn't sample the menu on this visit but from what we saw of the food being served up we will certainly give it a go on our next one!

Food wasn't bad when it arrived, but starter took half an hour to arrive, then a further half an hour for the main course which was then missing a key ingredient. When we asked about it we were told that the chef had run out, but made no attempt to let us know!
We were offered a free dessert and apologies, but won't be returning

Just been for my grandson's 1st birthday. We arrived and no one knew we were coming, even though we had booked and pre-ordered our meals. A table was hastily put together for the 12 of us. We were told that they were going to start cooking our food at 5:10pm and it would be about 20 minutes. Food finally arrived about 6pm. The children's meals came out last. In fact one came out almost 15 minutes after the rest of the food. All the steaks were cremated. The kids burger was inedible - stale bun, overcooked burger. Staff didn't bother asking if the food was okay until after we had eaten what we could and were really rude. Definitely won't be returning here.

Having used the pub for over thirty years, I’ve never know such a rude manager in all that time. Food took over an hour to arrive, yes it was Fathers Day,
but when asked where it was we got a rude sarcastic reply. We were a table of 8 but other tables were also complaining. When it finally arrived our chips were cold, again I got a rude response, unfortunately she got one back too, which I’m not proud of!! The waiting staff were lovely but so run off their feet. It’s basic management, if you have a busy day planned organise before hand or explain to customers the problems. That way the customer has a choice of whether to stay etc. we were not advised at time of ordering of any wait time for food. Unfortunately I was told this was an issue and the manager was rude before hand, but let’s be honest we all try and give people the benefit of the doubt!! I was told by one member of staff, that staff were being rang to come in, but they were not answering their phones. Tbh not a surprise, if the landlady is as rude to her staff as her customers then they won’t want to help her. It’s an estate pub, with many regulars, the bread and butter of any establishment!! Unfortunately if the landlady carries on as she is she will have no clientele left, except the odd lunch or dinner users. One consolation, if you can get past the wait and the rudeness, the food was actually nice!! The Top is a hard pub and needs a confident and experienced manager in place. Maybe the company as a whole should accept some responsibility too, as they’ve obviously put someone in place without that experience!

Went in for a meal and some drinks with my 2 friends it was pretty empty but the first thing we noticed is that what seemed to be the manager was walking around shouting and wearing air pods while serving us which i consider to be rude. The food came out quick but i noticed that the forgot about my curly fries so they sorted that out and they came 10 mins later. Later on in the night we were sitting outside and went to get more drinks. It was £17.65 i was a little short so i gave her what i has which was 2 notes and i dropped the £2 coin i had which i picked up, gave to her and then said “so just the 65p ye” when I returned i gave her another £2 coin expecting change and she then told me that i still owed her 65p because i ran off with the first £2 coin and never gave it to her she then started using an aggressive tone when I questioned it. She walked away and said “forget the 65p” when she was round the other side of the bar she was talking to another girl about the situation swearing about it calling me stupid. After all of that i have now got food poisoning after eating the chicken wings. Not impressed at all and i am expecting a response
