Galetos Peri Peri

The restaurant was quite small and for a Tuesday evening rather busy. If we had any bigger of a group, a reservation would've had to be made. The food was halal and there was a couple vegetatian options, but one pasta dish I wanted wasn't available and similar option (plain pasta without seafood) wasn't on the menu.
The staff were very friendly and kind and were very quick in taking our orders. I ordered medium chicken wings and although I thought they were tasty, my mother and sister didn't like the colour of the meat on the inside. We had to send back their wings as a result. All the dishes were well presented and quite tasty with only a few personal preferences (like too much or too little salt for example) being a problem. The seafood dishes were large and suited the taste of my seafood-lover mother. Looking around at other tables, the food they ordered also looked just like the pictures they presented in the menu. They even had a lovely chocolate gateau for the birthday girl 🎉
This would've been a four star review however both my sister and I ended up with an upset stomach after eating there, we're not entirely sure what caused it☹️ Some pictures to show our meal:

I stumbled upon this place this evening. Loved the atmosphere and decor, it was clean and inviting and felt like the management defiantly take care of the place. We ordered a platter for 2 which was very generous, the medium flavour on the grilled chicken was just perfect! The staff brought over a few bottles of their unique sauces, all which were very different and added a very fresh taste unlike which I've tasted yet.

I'd recommend this place for couples, families and parties, if your going there on a Sunday you can park for free at the brewery car park which is just a short walk from the restaurant. We will defiantly be back.

Went in because I thought I'd try here instead of Nandos. Was told about the special offers, but decided to go with 1/2 Peri-Peri chicken and sweet potato chips, and a bottle of Corona. £14.99 total. The chicken was really meaty and juicy. 4 home-made sauces were on table to choose from, they were nice although I didn't try the extra hot "volcano" one. The sweet potato chips were super chunky. Quite nice but I couldn't finish them all on my own in the end - they're quite rich being sweet potato. Staff were nice too, was quiet when I went about 9pm weds, but the music had Portuguese vibes - I really enjoyed it and will go back for sure!! Also they had a Mazzer grinder for coffee - didn't try it this time - and also came with complimentary garlic bread while I waited for food to be cooked. Cheers guys ❤️

Been there a few times, the meals are first class, friendly staff, made you felt accommodating. Would be coming again.

I am giving 3 star for the great customer service. However the food was not great. My advice will be to cook the chicken from fresh. Im quite certain that the chicken is kept in the cold room over night half cooked. And its served by reheating it in the grill.
Will revisit again. Maybe its just a one time bad experience.

Fantastic food. Succulent and flavoursome. Lovely sauces too. My fav was the herb sauce. Chicken had a fantastic taste. Decent pricing. Its all Halal. Card payments accepted above 10 pounds.

I used to love this place. I've been eating here for years, they even greet me and my girlfriend by name. Recently though, EVERYTHING has gone downhill. Alarm bells started when we were served with chicken thighs a couple of times. We're not precious. I politely bring it to their attention and request it's cooked a little longer. No issue.

More recently, with lockdown in place, we've ordered a few times via deliveroo. Tonight, it was the same pink chicken issue again. Called the restaurant to explain and struggled to get my point across as he was constantly talking over me refusing to listen. After a lot of arguing he relented and agreed to send another order of chicken in exchange for the undercooked batch we first received. The whole time he was very arrogant and kept interrupting me, saying their priority is "to protect themselves".

We initially ordered at 6pm. Called to complain about the chicken at 6.45pm. At 9.35pm, almost 3 hours later, the replacement chicken arrived. It's Wednesday, not a busy night, and I live 10 mins walk away. I threw the chicken in the bin, sickened that if they could be so small minded to delay the delivery of my food like this I wouldn't put it passed them to deliver tainted food too.

I used to love this place. They will never receive my custom again
