Went on a Sunday afternoon for 2 Cocktails for £10. The building could arguably be the most stunning both externally and internally with key original features being left and highlighted. I have not been in on a Friday or Saturday night but the staff say the place is packed! The menu looks good as well so we will definitely be back!

This venue's nice, but hasn't really changed in years. Feels a bit like a gentleman's club with all the wood paneling. Attended an event on the top floor and the room there is a nice size - not too small so it doesn't feel cramped, while it's not so big that it feels empty. The canapes were amazing. Little beef Wellingtons, and portions or fish and chips, for instance.

Wow. I was looking for somewhere to eat on the main street in Preston and noticed that down Guildhall street there was a place with a fancy sign....I walked up the steps and wow an amazing building first of all that has been refurbed and just like a high end hotel in the lakes or London. The decor and furnishings really stand out. The menu looked great and I wasn't disappointed with the friendly service and the tasty, freshly made, cooked to perfection food that was well presented and delicious. 10 out of 10 for me and a must place to go and have a drink or food in Preston.

Me and my girlfriend come here regularly and the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere is always amazing!

Highly recommend, exceptional value, and the service we receive is always brilliant!

Particularly recommend the steaks! Best steak I've ever had!

Make sure to try the cocktails too, they are unreal!!

Great food and cocktails, the building has been refreshed but still in tune with its originality. Been here many times and each time is a better experience! Music is always on point and the staff are always very polite and accommodating. Would recommend Fives to friends!

This venue was The Place to come to in the early 2000's and it was rammed every Fri/Sat night.
Still a great venue but just not enough people go to it..Maybe better marketing would help.. Recently went to a Disco night and i think them charging £8 on the night was a shot in the foot for them.. If you want to get people back to this great venue, you cannot charge or at least that much..It was very very quiet needless to say..

In my experience, the place was opened up for clubbing, didn't experience the catering. Understand it has two floors where you can dance, however they only opened one which got so hot it felt like a Turkish baths... Enjoyed my time there though.. Drinks are well cheap, bought two drinks with a tenner, nearly lost my eyesight with the amount of change he gave me in return...!!

Went on a Sunday for lunch, there were 25 people in so not busy yet my food took 45 minutes to arrive. My girlfriend got the roast which was fine other than the roast potatoes not being freshly cooked, I made the mistake of getting the burger and asking for it well done. When it arrived it was half the size of the bun and when I tried it it was completely flavourless and the fries were like slop as if they were microwaved. The chef had the waiting staff come out with some shoddy excuses but there aren't really any excuses for flavourless crappy food. We only had one drink order taken the entire hour we were there.
