Was hoping to give a bad review so we got a funny comment from the owner , but unfortunately we couldn’t 😂

As we entered we were greeted by Ellie who kindly told us we were upgraded to the best table with the best view upstairs which was lovely as it was a birthday meal, we were served by Claire who was equally lovely
The food was really very good and pudding even better !!
Thanks for a wonderful evening

Not a place to go with family no food being served as I asked the bar staff at 1347 hrs today 10th June.
My one grandson and youngest daughter 10 wanted something to eat so I purchased two sausages from the chip shop next door.
As soon I returned one of the staff came out and said I was not allowed to give the children the food. Understand if food is available however even though i asked I was told by the staff no food was available.
We gladly left the Ship sad to say lovely looking place great view the Guinees was good as well.

Six of us with three dogs were made very welcome in this pleasant pub right by the bay. They had a reasonable selection of ales, and a respectable food menu, which included vegetarian and vegan meals.
We enjoyed an excellent lunch and very good service before heading down to the beach - all of two minutes walk away.

Food lovely with good service. Upstairs is ridiculously hot. No air. The downstairs staff said no upstairs bar service although when challenged they said ‘no upstairs bar’. I asked for cocktails, reply ‘we are not some city pub in Birmingham, we are a small pub in Wales’. I resent the assumption that although I am from Birmingham (and proud) that I drink in City pubs, I don’t. I often frequent small country pubs that always offer cocktails. I’ll say this though , I could have had those same 2 meals in Birmingham at half the price. Small Welsh Pub the bar woman called it, big city prices !

We were a party of 6, celebrating my parents' wedding anniversary. When we booked, there wasn't a table for 6 available, but we were pleasantly surprised to have been given the 'best seat in the house' looking out of the upstairs window! Our meals were excellent and the servers were friendly and efficient. We'll be back.

Don't go to the ship in at tresaith as in my opinion this is a real pub. Great atmosphere, good prices on the beer, a pint of butty bach for £4.10 was good value for money. Food wise, had a steak sandwich for under a tenner, and was divine.

A very pleasant evening. When we went in I was a bit worried we had made a bad choice we were seated downstairs and it was very simple with paper menus that had been used before as they had food stains on them. The service was OK, Food arrived and was well presented, hot and tasted good. The portions were good and the food overall was good. I would go back if we were passing through.

Stayed in Aberporth for 2 nights at the Highcliffe Hotel. Booked both nights in advance at the ship, as it's basically the only restaurant in the village and gets booked up. Both of the meals were really good, and the staff were friendly and efficient too. Worth a try even if you're not staying in the village.
