Thatchers Barber Shop

I have been going to Thatchers for 7 or 8 years and always been happy with the service. I have not had a single bad experience. There is a team of friendly experienced barbers that cut my hair well at a reasonable price. Happy to recommend!

Another great haircut from friendly and experienced barbers, great beard trim too for an excellent price. Wife loves how I look now which helps!

My hairdressers for decades. Nothing fancy, just an honest haircut with Pete and Tyrone who are always good for a chat. After all the years, it's like visiting friends

Usually I never leave any reviews at all on internet, but this time I thought why not. The place in general is not very welcoming and the whole experience was very awkward. The barber who cut my hair, was not really listening what was telling him, like how to cut my hair, or he was not really bothered to really understand my request, at least it felt like this. Hence my haircut was very mediocre, I know it will grow back but still.

Do not rush,
admit when you are not experienced enough to deal with a certain situation like collecting/ preserving long hair for donation (that took many years to look after and grow).... especially when prompted a few times not to cut the hair like that and explained at the beginning the aim... to decide and put your scissors in a child’s hair when you were told to Stop is just wrong,
complete an equality and diversity course/ programme, apologise when you are wrong and
be professional when inviting somebody to leave the shop.

Great barbers, efficient and friendly. It would be more efficient/convenient though if you mentioned on the booking email or website that you're a cash only business.

Never had a bad haircut at Thatcher's. NB Are moving to new nearby premises in a couple of weeks
