Livinghouse supplied the bathroom wares my recent house build - 3 bathrooms/ensuites in total.

Their customer service was exemplary from start to finish. We used Livinghouse for nearly everything, from toilets & basins to showers and accessories. I have to say I am yet to find anything from the large list of purchases that are anything less than outstanding quality!

I would encourage anyone to use Livinghouse for a high spec bathroom design. Their products are better than anything I’ve ever seen!

We spent £8,000 on brass towel radiators with Livinghouse as part of a full house refurbishment. Unfortunately after we took delivery of the radiators last year, our builder went into liquidation and they were placed in storage, unopened, until we could move forward with a new builder.

During that time Livinghouse started offering lacquered finishes and we arranged to return the radiators for lacquering. One - two had been fully removed from protections, five had not. When they returned in April this year and we fully exposed all the radiators for the first time we discovered a series of marks (dirt and smears) underneath the lacquer, and numerous poorly brazed and blistered joints (photos attached to my review on Houzz UK website for reference.)

After expressing dissatisfaction, Livinghouse shut down direct dialogue with me claiming my architect was their client (since his name appears on the invoice - acting as my agent), failing to acknowledge that they had accepted payment from me directly (surely that makes me the end customer?) They have since insisted all communications go through the architect which isn’t the mature, reasoned and proactive level of customer service you would expect to accompany a “high end” product sale.

Livinghouse insist all of the visual issues with the radiators are due to tarnishing and that this explains the poorly brazed and blistered joints, and the dirty smears underneath the lacquer. I have not found a specialist yet who agrees with that statement - and I have sent the pictures off to other radiator suppliers for comment on the acceptability of finish. Please refer to the photos on Houzz and see what you think.

Livinghouse has suggested I am trying to return the products because they do not match other brassware in my bathrooms - and it is true that they don’t - but we have many different ranges of brass throughout the house and that doesn’t matter because the overall quality is high. When you place a poor product next to a great product the tone of the metal is irrelevant. Livinghouse doesn’t accept this.

We’ve come across some great companies - and great bathroom companies specifically - during the course of the build (Watermark, Catchpole and Rye, Zehnder - I can’t rate these guys highly enough!) They all share an interest in servicing their clients and products after the point of sale; each of these companies has replaced poor quality fast and without quibble. This has not been our experience with Livinghouse regrettably, who have refuted photographic evidence of poor quality, been incredibly defensive and shut down direct dialogue with the customer paying for the products. I would not choose to punt on buying a product without fault from them again and, as a result of my experience, my project manager will not be using them for any future work.

We are now faced with costly remedial work (painting over the lacquered surfaces) or replacements ... not happy at all.

I Ordered 2 door handles of different types and checking the returns policy to ensure I could return the one we did not require then order more. After receiving them I was told they were special order and could not be returned "as per our terms and conditions". Very unhelpful and there is no transparency in the order process. I would definitely not use this company.

Would be very wary of purchasing items from this Company. I purchased 2 very expensive sockets that were labelled as luxury glass. When I received them the quality was average in regards a socket of around £20. I asked to return the items and was then told they were non returnable as they were special order. This is in fact true if you read all their conditions but is not clear on their website when ordering special order items. I was then offered to return them with a 40% surcharge. I was not offered an exchange or any other form of assistance.

Purchased 2 radiators from living house and was informed that they are unavailable, living house offered to send out an alternative to the radiators.
When they arrived on site it was evident that I could have purchased the same radiator elsewhere for a fraction of the cost, Called living house to discuss the matter they were not interested (customer service ‘0’ ) Do not use this company.

Terrible would give zero stars if possible.
bought polished tiles for a vestibule floor. 60-70% of the glossy polished tiles were marked from rubbing within the packaging.

living house not interested when I raised the problem. even accused me of exaggerating!

then accused my team of stacking the damaged tiles wrong (they are damaged!).

They then ignored my email requesting to purchase more so I could use what tiles had made it to site scratch free.

I now have a pile of sub-base at £80 per square meter.

If you like your tiles damaged on delivery this is company for you.

I ordered a brushed stainless steal towel rail with Simon who was very informative and gave me good advise to go with a duel heated radiator rather than an electric. I would highly recommend buying from them as they sell high quality products. I will be buying from them again.

We placed a large order in January. We were informed at the end of February and after delivering some of the items which they had in stock that the shower valve had been discounted and they offered an alternative that didn’t match the rest and we were asked to pay an extra £429.90 for it!!! So that was for their mistake which they also noticed late. In the end they’ve agreed that the balance we had to pay for the odd replacement would be £151.90 plus VAT which we stupidly paid instead of returning everything we had received already. That was in February. We are now in May, very close to 3 months later and the part which is being manufactured in Italy is STILL not ready. We are also owed a refund that we chased several times (last time I chased it wasn’t even acknowledged). I don’t want to hear that it’s their supplier’s fault. I paid Livinghouse and I don’t think they are treating this with the seriousness or urgency that it deserves.

And Livinghouse might notice that the google name doesn’t match the one which placed the order - it’s because I would die of embarrassment if anyone recognises my name and reads about how I’ve wasted my time and money.
