I’ve always thought Bristan was the go to tap brand when you want quality. After all they put their brand on the tap! However recently I’m not so convinced. I’ve replaced lots of easy fit mixers recently where the customer is not satisfied for one reason or another. Usually dripping tap. Also the hot piston housing on the exposed shower valve that is no longer produced. I installed a bath filler today. No branding on the tap now. A plastic head carrier and because of this head carrier no matter what I did the cold side couldn’t line up nice and straight with the hot. Cheap times eh. I will say this, very easy to switch to a German / European brand for not much more money.

Contacted Bristan today at about 10AM. After providing them with proof of warranty, all sorted. Now 12:30pm and replacement part is on it's way. Fantastic service.

Faulty electrics on TWO 3 in 1 Hot taps
I purchased two 3 in 1 hot water taps in March 2020, and had them fitted in a property that was never occupied due to COVID. I used the taps maybe once per week. 2 years and 3 weeks later BOTH developed the SAME fault within 5 days of each other! basically the electronics went haywire or Bristan has done something with the software to cause the problem. Customer service refused to honour the warranty offered to sell me more of the same but at TWICE the price they had been two years earlier!
AVOID is my advice.

Wrong customer support advice that can be very costly
We received the wrong advice on the replacement part and spent over £280 on the plumber and around £50 on the spare part. Our shower mixer tap is still broken, apparently it has two (2) separate issues, one part cannot be replaced by Bristan.

We concluded that it would be much more price efficient not to use a Bristan replacement parts and receiving wrong advice by their customer support service and go for more established brands and customer service that is reliable and provide correct information when it comes to their own spare parts.

We have been very disappointed with the manufacturer Bristan not taking ownership and responsibility of sharing incorrect information of replacement spare part. We incurrent over £280 of plumber costs which Bristan was not willing to negotiate at all.

You are not helping the customer with a solution.

These guys are completely useless at providing the correct replacement parts for their products. Their product knowledge is appalling. I will avoid this company and it’s products. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Shocking company and customer service. I had a faulty tap that they refused to return or replace and it failed within a week of installation. 10 year 'No Nonsense' Guarantees only valid when goods are purchased from certain 'selected' shops. (though this is Not communicated anywhere on their site and only revealed after there is an issue.. helpful eh?). I bought mine from a trade ebay shop assuming it would be fine, turns out some ebay shops are covered but not all and with no way of knowing beforehand (their below response is incorrect in that it was a private seller or second hand, it was a business seller and I have provided proof of this to them). Their whole guarantee system is a farce, not to mention their customer service in dealing with a customer who has a faulty item, no apology, no attempt to make it right, only an acknowledgement that their website info is misleading as it only states 'proof of purchase' but as per one colleagues words 'we can't do any more'. This is what you get when you buy British. I've spent over £1000 on products from these guys in the past thinking they were a decent company which sold quality products. They are neither. Never Again. Please avoid and buy elsewhere.

I brought a house with a Bristan hot water tap which has warranty for 10years. The tap has been in the property for two years and the filter has been changed once already. The tap provide filtered water which works but the boiling water doesn’t because the area is very hard water and I feel Bristan should provide something that works. All the house has Bristan make and when I speak to the company they do nothing to help and tell me it will cost 1600 pounds to sort out when the whole tap system cost 605quid. I’m very disappointed and would ask for a replacement because they said it would work for 10 years. Hope to hear back from Bristan.

I went to use the cold tap but it was scalding hot. Did not improve so emergency plumber called out who isolated problem to the mixer tap (8 months old). Water turned off. Rang Bristan.- no apology. Offered to send Engineer FOC - I had no confidence in item and wanted a refund - warranty did not include this. Terrible after sales service. Never to use again or recommend to others
