Had my hair cut here last week. Totally new style and was very nervous about changing my style. Victoria, the hairdresser, was superb. Massively pleased with the results and I was walked through everything, from the initial consultation to how to look after my hair after leaving the salon.

I would definitely recommend Chequers to everyone, and specifically ask for Victoria to cut your hair.

I had my toes painted here a couple of weeks ago (remove old varnish and repaint - I even bought my own polish to use) and was charged £30. The advertised price is £16. When I queried the cost the young lady behind the counter said I had been in there longer than 15 minutes. It's hardly my fault if it takes longer than 15 minutes and I doubt that a decent job could be completed in that time. I won't be going back!

I went for a Shellac, toe varnish and St Tropez spray tan the other day. All the beauty therapists were friendly, very professional and really speedy because I was short of time. I've definitely found my new salon and would highly recommend it.
