Mon Amie

I use Mon Amie instead of other local places as they are a friendly professional local business. I recommend them highly for nail extensions, eyebrow waxing and tinting. I have been again this morning for all 3 services and between the mother and daughter combination of assistance I’m chuffed with my pride nails and eyebrows. They are so friendly that I would travel miles for them to do my treatments. Thank you Donna and Charlene, it was a great experience as always x

I visit Mon Amie every 3 weeks for my self-care Saturdays! Lashes with Donna and pedicure, manicure. The salon is lovely and bright, always smells divine and the tunes are on point! Such a fabulous environment and relaxing atmosphere created by the team. It feels like you are socialising with friends, whilst being pampered. I even fall asleep sometime when I'm having my lashes done! I honestly cannot rate the service provided by Donna, Char and Kim highly enough.

Had both a manicure and pedicure. Nails are now looking summer ready! Staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

If you don't love this place and want to return for all your treatments then I would be very surprised and it takes a lot to surprise me! Where to start in my list of why this is the perfect place is the problem! Wonderful environment, outstanding treatments and the highest of professional standards, competitive prices and warm and friendly staff would be the top reasons. Once you have been here you'll be able to add many more. I recommend eyelash extensions, manicure and pedicure treatments and of course essential waxing, plus so much more. Enjoy your treat!

I just want to update this review; the salon is so outstanding that it deserves every mention that it gets and more! The range of treatments on offer is both cutting edge and extensive and all administered to the highest of professional standards and care. The salon itself is beautiful, even more so than the last time I posted, if that's possible, due to a stunning refit and remodel. This has given the salon and its wonderful staff more scope to take on a greater number of customers and treatments in high spec surroundings. I can absolutely guarantee that you will not be disappointed by a visit to this lovely salon. It deserves every good review that it gets.

I have been coming to Mon Amie for at least 8 years now for eyelash extensions with Donna, it is just such a pleasure. I feel like I am visiting friends rather than a business, all the staff are so friendly and welcoming. It's super chilled with their relaxing music and very pretty decor.

I had visited the salon a few weeks ago for a facial, however I had the most deplorable experience. On arrival, I can say that the salon was clean and well presented so I was really looking forward to having a nice facial as I never do anything like this and it was a nice treat at a salon with good reviews I researched. I was asked to fill out a form outlining my skincare routine and condition which is standard and I had filled this out with a good feeling. Although after this, I was not consulted with and the beauty therapist, Charlene had not discussed the details with me which should have rung alarm bells but I did not think it would be such a concern trusting a professional and their service at a reputable salon. I had booked a calming facial knowing I have a really simple skincare routine only using a gentle cleanser and moisturiser and just blush and no foundation on my face. None of this was discussed, the facial then started with abrasive scrubs, peels for almost the full hour. I had spoken up at one point where it was stinging and only after the treatment had I seen my face was a full red and raw pink which was sensitive and hot to touch. I was however assured that this is normal and will calm down. This was not the case, I had been so distressed and saw my face was basically rubbed completely raw on my cheeks. I could not even touch or put water on my face as there were tiny cuts on my skin. I had called the salon afterwards. While they did speak to me and issued a full refund, this does not make up for the doctor visit, the weeks worth of using hydrocortosine, gentle moisturisers and working from home for having a scabbed over face which I am still trying to settle down the pink marks. I was not even spoken to since to see how I am recovering and was just brushed off that it is unfortunate. I was even offered to come back for another facial which I declined as an inappropriate suggestion to me but no mention of speaking further with me after. This was an unprofessional service and not at all acceptable. No attention was paid to the fact that I was a new client and the information in my form was not at all accounted for. I would absolutely, inexplicably not recommend this salon.

I have been coming to Mon Amie for over 4 years now and currently travel up from Eastbourne as I would honestly not use another salon. I feel like I am visiting friends not just coming for my beauty therapies. I have eyelash extentions by Kim every month and occasionally by Donna both ladies are brilliant and I am ways receiving compliments on how natural and good they look. Recently I have had a Brazilian and Underarm wax by Ashley and Jess. Both girls made sure I was comfortable and relaxed and all the staff here are welcoming and professional. I always have a lovely time when visiting Mon Amie, the smell of the salon is lush, the music is always great, everything about this salon 10/10. Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend this salon highly enough, it is a wonderful combination of professionalism and friendliness. I had eyelash extensions, gel nails and an eyebrow tint here for my wedding and could not be happier with the results. Both Donna and Emma put me completely at ease, explaining everything as they were working and reassuring me when I had questions or concerns
As a rule I really don't pamper myself enough but Mon Amie have definitely got my future custom, I don't think I can bear being 'lashless' ever again!
