A few reviews here reference the rude staff but they're Eastern European so don't have the same rules around small talk as British people. The lady who did my nails was definitely pretty brusque but the quality of the nail art was pretty great so I didn't mind. The other staff there couldn't have been nicer, they made me a tea, brought me water and let me charge my phone. Only thing I'd add is they could maybe do what other nail art places do and ask customers to send in reference pics prior to their appointments so they're prepared. My nail artist was under a lot of pressure to complete the work in time before her next appointment so I ended up changing the design I asked for as I felt bad for her.

I love Selfish. I’ve been coming for a few years and I’ve always received excellent service and beautiful nails. My gel pedicure always lasts forever (literally lasts until it is removed!) and my gel manicures have always been faultless. My fave destination for manis and pedis.

Despite the polite and pleasant staff, I was not satisfied with the service.

The alignment of the nail plate is not done, so the coating looks very uneven. On some nails, the gel remained on the cuticle.

Also, pedicure is not hardware and not even combined, and in my opinion, this technology cannot give an ideal, neat result.
The whole pedicure looks like it was done at home.
A bit upset for the money spent.

Only been there a couple of times but so far I enjoy getting my nails done there. The nail art is just how I like it devine, fun and refreshing. The salon is great also.

The salon was completely dead when I went with some friends and staff was rude. The nail art was OK but definitely not amazing - I've been to plenty of better in London. Also, I had booked maicures for 5 friends and had to cancel one of them as my friend couldn't come because she was sick. The manicure I canceled they charged me for even though I canceled it within 12 hours of booking it - they even charged me the added fee for the nail art which felt super scammy. You're better off booking somewhere that understands when someone can't come because they are sick etc - especially these days!

I have been to this nail salon twice and got the exact same service. On both occasions the nails chipped no mpre than 6 and 10 days later. They did offer to redo 3 of the nails that chipped, which bumps them from 1 to 2 stars.

The second time I paid £55!! for shellac manicure (no design whatsoever, but including removal) and it lasted less than the previous time. I never bothered to call again for a 'repair'. I think the most frustrating part is how bad customers are being treated. The customer service level is at the lowest I have ever experienced in London. You enter the place, they take your name, sit you down, ask you if you want a drink and by the time you even consider the answer the person is gone. They then go and spend the time talking in Russian loudly, obnoxiously, laughing and doing each others nails, talking about their failed Tinder dates, while the "apprentices" are doing the clients nails. If you are not getting an intricate design on your nails dont even dream of getting one of the more experienced nail ladies. I would say nail techs but let's be serious, they're anything but that. Avoid.
