I contacted this guest house on 14 February 2016 regarding a probable long term booking of three months (I didn't mention this in my call).
I don't have breakfast as I leave too early at 6:30am for an early work start.
The owner/landlady/proprietor was a bit abrupt stating there was no discount for not taking breakfast as her other long term guests often didn't take breakfast.
This establishment obviously caters for the more retarded client who have more money than sense!
Their website quoted cheapest room from £35.
I was quoted £40 with no discount for no breakfast.
I voted with my feet and found the Raven Hotel in Corby who gave me a very generous discount for my initial short stay.
I strongly suggest you too vote with your feet to greedy, gruff and inflexible proprietors.

Immaculately clean room, bedding and towels, really peaceful, great breakfast and only a few minutes from Kettering. Will be staying there again.

Had the most amazing time staying at this B&B while travelling. The rooms are so nice, the views are beautiful, the price is very reasonable. Linda and Steve are both absolutely lovely people who always made sure I was happy and comfortable. Will definitely be staying here again when i'm next visiting the area!

Quite simply the best . There is no room for improvement as it’s near enough perfect.

The best thing about the location in general must be the invisible mountains, I never stayed at the lodge because I couldn't find the great wooden bridge over the mighty what river? Still plenty of pubs and restaurants in the delightful Rothwell.
