Stayed here along with a couple of friends, we all agreed we'd be happy to stay here again. Friendly welcome when we arrived and were shown our rooms along with helpful advice re places to eat. Nice quiet rooms with good facilities. Fabulous continental breakfast, exceeding our expectations, served in the dining room. All in all, a great bed and breakfast offering superb value for money.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my husband. We were not disappointed, lovely place and very friendly staff. Martin was particularly helpful, suggesting places of interest and dining experiences. The room was spotlessly clean, lovely comfy bed and added bonus of a coffee machine. Situated in a fabulous area close to amenities. We will definitely be paying a return visit. Thank you for a lovely stay ❤️ xxx

We stayed at the poplars 1st April 2022. The rooms are clean and spacious. Martin was very friendly and accommodating, telling us about places to eat and of interest. The poplars is in an excellent position, just a 5 minute walk to the castle and cathedral.

The perfect location to use as a base to explore the city. Shabby chic rooms with very nice duvet cover. Tea, coffee and fridge in the room. Very nice "continental" breakfast (eggs and omelette available). The steep narrow drive up to the parking area is a bit nerve racking. Sarah was so welcoming and Kassia very helpful. Love it.

What a lovely stay. Friendly and very welcoming. Super comfy bed and a lovely bathroom (the gold and black one with double sinks in the pictures). Plentiful tasty breakfast. Quiet location. Great views over the City. Exceeded my expectations. I will be back. Thank you.

Superbly positioned for centre of town although less able people might find steep hills tricky. Really nicely appointed rooms in a French painted furniture style. Customer Service was superb, I had an early start but Sarah offered to provide a breakfast all made up in my room. The breakfast was all fresh: apple juice, croissants and bread rolls, fresh yoghurt and cherry compote and a plate of meats and cheeses. All of this was discussed and tailored to my tastes when I was in touch after receiving the welcome email. Due to late arrival and early start I was 100% self service on check in and departure, but still with great service over the phone.

Delightfully old-fashioned, quirky b&b, bags of character and excellent service. Lovely breakfast. Superb location in walking distance of just about everything in Lincoln you might want to see. Spotlessly clean, very comfy bed. Highly recommended.

Had such a great stay here. Loved our room - decor (in this particular room) perhaps not to everyone's taste, but it was clean, well furnished, and bed was really comfy. Twin basins in the bathroom a nice touch. Fantastic breakfast and a great selection of items available. Location was great for access to the castle and cathedral - access is indeed steep but we were aware when we made our booking. Many thanks to the owner and Thomas in particular for the kind attention after my wife twisted her ankle, made everything much easier.
Friendly and very welcoming.
