It is certainly not the Hilton Hotel, but, for the price, it was good - you get what you pay for. Sandy was welcoming and charming. I had to go home early for personal reasons and she offered to drive me to the station, chatting to me all the way. It made me forget my woes for a short time. Thanks, Sandy. ☺

Small ground level b+b,3 rooms available all have 2 single beds with shared bathroom.rooms are ok with tv and tea,coffee making facilities, breakfast is cereal or toast help yourself it’s in the hallway.quite a bit of door slamming evening time but quiet at bed time.owners have dogs seldom seen but often heard on entry or leaving or on a trip to the bathroom. The yew tree pub is 5min walk away,offering good company,friendly locals and staff with a good choice menu. Hope this has been helpful to you

Arrived early and was allowed to check in with no issue, room was clean as was the bedding, there was tea and coffee making facilities and a tv with many channels. Breakfast was cereal and toast which was fine but there was the option to pay extra for a cooked breakfast.
Bathroom was shared but nice and clean and we were supplied with clean towels.
Overall I’d say it was exactly what we expected for what we paid. No complaints here

Very inhospitable, not very clean, not welcoming. Dirty bedding no towels supplied, TV remote batteries dead so couldn't watch telly. Couldn't leave quick enough.

Been a bit late after my booking because of trafic (i was driving from Europe).And they didn't let me go in
But they took my money.
And i had to book for another Hotel.
Don't reccomend.

NB: NOT EVEN A SIGN STATING IT IS THE 'GOLDEN SUN B+B'? ON THE WALL ...BUT A ' FOR SALE ' ONE INSTEAD SHOULD BE A ' RED FLAG ' TO ANYONE OUT THERE!

As they took my money & left me stranded!!!..please read on....

PLZ BEWARE ..THIS B+B WILL TAKE UR MONEY... + NOT GIVE YOU THE SERVICE IT CLAIMS!!!

IF YOU ARRIVE LATE & INFORM THEM U'LL BE LATE.. + EVEN SAY TO THEM PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT TIME IS THE 'LATEST TO ARRIVE'...

THEY WONT CONTACT YOU AND YOU WONT BE LET IN....

THEREFORE U'LL BE STRANDED; AS I WAS AT 10.40pm ...& left me no choice but to drive with no rest all..before having to drive all the way back to Lincolnshire!!!...

THIS IS TOTALLY 'UNETHICAL + BAD BUISNESS PRACTICE'..

IT LEFT MY DAUGHTER UPSET.. WATCHING NO ONE ANSWER THE DOOR, DESPITE THEM BEING IN TO REMOVE THEIR BARKING DOGS..+ NOT EVEN ATTEND TO THEIR OWN PAYING GUESTS!!!
IT LEFT ME WITH "NO CHOICE"..BUT TO CONTINUE ON..IN DOING MY
4 HR JOURNEY HOME .THERE +THEN
WITHOUT HAVING RESTED UP BEFORE HEADING BACK..

I EVENTUALLY GOT BACK.. 3.45am..

I really don't want anyone to be left

having to do a Long Journey back.
as l ended up doing ..
(whilst suffering chronic back
pain..etc...)..

WORSE STILL..

It put a dampener then on the time ld shared visiting my young daughter ..& as l expressed ..left her very upset & worried until she knew l had arrived back home SAFELY etc!!!( ie 3.45am ).

The reason for my reservation was to attend 2020 Goodwood Festival of Speed, which was cancelled due to Coronavirus.

The hotel refuses to refund the reservation or allow for new dates at no cost.

They don't pick up the phone and when they do, they hang up when I explain the issue.

Terrible customer service and very rude manners.

A very bad experience overall and one I'd not recommend anyone to experience.

They basically took 329€ from me

Even after 2020 Goodwood Festival of Speed was cancelled for the first time in history due to Coronavirus, they refuse to issue a voucher for being able to change our reservation dates, we're stuck with a reservation we no longer want since the whole purpose of it was cancelled.

They refuse to offer any type of compensation or negotiation just like everyone else is doing, they stick to the reservation's policy as if COVID-19 didn't occur.

Rude manners in general not picking up the phone and hanging up, poor customer care in general.

Not a pleasant experience as a customer and one we'll certainly not repeat if we attend Goodwood in 2021.
