Bellropes Countryside Retreat

Really pleasant AirB&B. Great garden space, lots of rooms + beds for people, fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms. One odd thing was a lot of the rooms have a shower in the bedroom on the carpet, not the bathroom, so slight privacy problem. Otherwise great place.

We stayed for my 60th birthday and the house with its chalets and cabins was perfect for everyone. The large kitchen was brilliant we could all gather and eat together. The manager and team were very helpful. We would recommend this venue, it’s ideally located with the most amazing views. Bellropes enabled us to have a great special birthday celebration and lots of great memories were created in this amazing house.

Just home from the most fantastic stay at Bellropes, the perfect venue for a large group! The views are incredible, lots of room and space for most to have their own bed, and the new kitchen is beautiful. Karen was so accommodating and helpful and made sure she was available for any questions or help we may have needed. I can’t thank Bellropes enough for having us :-)

Well what can I say. Fabulous house, fabulous views; beautiful place. Karen and her staff were brilliant and very attentive. Purple Olive Catering were also very professional and cooked us a fabulous meal (for 28) on the second night for my husbands 50th Birthday celebrations! And if you want an event try Simulated Game Shooting Essex for a bit if clay pigeon shooting; great fun! Thank you all. Ali and Gary Belton. Surrey.

Rented this house for 2 nights to throw a surprise 30th for my partner. It's a great place, very spacious, beautiful grounds and around 10 minutes from the sea. We had catering deliver to us on the Friday, BBQ lunch on Saturday and Purple Olive Catering cook for us in house on the Saturday. Everything was great - would recommend!

Premium price but not premium quality. Great views from the property ,however we were disappointed with the quality of the property itself .We stayed in the house in the master bedroom which we expected may have been the best room in the house ,however this appeared tatty ,the drawer front fell of the dresser, the tiles on the bathroom floor were cracked across the middle of the floor , the balcony railings to the righthand side were moving and looked unsafe, there was raw bacon rashers !!!! on the roof above the kitchen which you saw from the balcony.
General cleanliness was questionable as we found debris/items from previous guests about the property .
Regrettably the hot tub seems to be stuck on 31 degrees and was far to cold to use .
Nice house but clearly there just for rental ,the quality of fixtures and fittings reflected this .
In summary ,if you are looking for a touch of something special carry on looking this is not it .

Avoid at all costs! Dirty house, broken facilities, rude staff. Splashed out on this accommodation for a family birthday but was utterly disappointed to find the house wasn’t cleaned properly on arrival - debris from parties before, used face masks in rooms, cobwebs and dust in outdoor lodges; the hot tub was cold and unusable for the weekend; the list of rules by the housekeeper was mammoth and she was particularly interfering. Whilst all this we were willing to overlook, the event was completely overshadowed by a scam to withhold funds from our damage deposit by the housekeeper/manager. After days of her rude replies and personal insults on my character, she refunded my deposit. Not worth the aggravation and pettiness from the staff.

Super venue for a large family weekend away. Great facilities and amazing views. Ideal for 28 people self catering.
