Mariana's Guest House

Very nice/friendly place!! Accessible to various shops and restaurants and just a few minutes to the train station going to London. I've lived in the guest house for almost two months, really enjoyed my stay. Mariana and Lena takes very good care of their guests and their rooms. Ideal place for travelers and professionals. There are variety of breakfast menus to choose from, I really enjoyed having breakfast every morning. Highly recommended!

We were impressed especially with the warmth & friendliness of our welcome & every contact we had with Mariana & her staff reinforced this impression. We found her classic Edwardian home clean, tastefully decorated & easy to 'navigate'. Our breakfast was enjoyable, warm & served promptly, with as much quantity & choice offered as we could ever ask for. We ate around a family dining table with the other guests which, for us, was much more congenial, and fun, than huddled around a private table. Our 3 bed en-suite front room overlooked the tree lined street and was quiet at all times; we slept very well. We would have enjoyed staying longer & hope we have the excuse to return before too long.

Stayed for 1 night in June 2015 booked 2 double rooms and were not disappointed, lovely and clean everything we needed. Mariana is a lovely hostess and her home and lovely manor shine through. Breakfast was splendid and we could not have been happier, another trip planned and we will be going back to stay there again.

We stayed at this guest house for 4 weeks while having a new kitchen and bathroom fitted. On arrival we were greeted by Marta who showed us our spacious and clean room on the ground floor which had a microwave and sink, much needed for such a long stay. Each morning a good variety of breakfast dishes were on offer. There were always some interesting people to speak to from near and far who had frequented the guest house many times before. Both Mariana and Marta made us most welcome and Marta's scrambled eggs are to die for! We would highly recommend staying here - look no further!

We stayed at Mariana's for 10 days with my brother-in-law. We had a double room on the ground floor and he has a single room on the same floor. This place is fantastic and it's not only due to the beauty of the house but to the warmth and care that is shown by it's owner, Mariana and the "boss" Marta! We absolutely loved them both. They couldn't do enough for us! I will NEVER stay anywhere else when in England. The breakfasts were substantial (not even the "full English") and we had plenty of energy to tackle the day. There is fruit, cake, yogurt on the table and you can order eggs made any which way by Marta.

One of the things we really enjoy when staying at a B&B is meeting other guests, that also was highlight of our trip. I could go on and on about how wonderful this place is!!

Several friends have stayed here over the past few months - one couple returning for a second visit, all reported that they were welcomed by the very friendly owner Mariana * the delightful Marta. Their
rooms were clean & comfortable with a choice of English or continental Breakfast. The Guest House is only a 10 minute walk from Sutton centre with its excellent shopping facilities & well over50 good places to eat. The rail links to London Victoria are frequent & fast making Mariana's & Sutton an ideal place to stay.

I don't know if you remember, but I'm a guest who came from Korea as a group in 2014. Thanks to a really kind South African grandmother and owner, I had a fun tour in England. Is there still a grandmother from South Africa?

Stayed at Mariana’s with my family for ten days back in 2012 and it was absolutely wonderful. Loved the breakfast and conversations with other guests, the rooms were clean, it had essence of home and it’s proximity to Sutton Central is a plus. Better than staying in a hotel. The delightful Martha even gave me a hair moisturizer for my hair. I’ll definitely be staying there when I visit London again
