The West Bank Guest House

Charming house with amazing accommodations for young families. Short distance to the castle and cliffs, on sight parking, and close to nice restaurants. Hosts were lovely and provided fresh breakfast for my husband, myself, and even made an infant friendly meal. We had lovely conversations with the hosts.

Highly recommend, we will be back!!

I had a wonderful stay, I would have liked to stay longer. The hotel is very charming from the inside and outside and the breakfast is tasty. The hotel is run by a friendly couple.

The owners were a lovely couple very welcoming and friendly the rooms were very nice. We only stayed for one night but we will definitely be going back for a weekend in the future would recommend this guest house

One of the rudest people I have ever spoken with. The advertised price of breakfast was different to the one we were given in the confirmation email and when raised with them over the phone we were met with aggression and outright denial over any responsibility.
Feeling completely taken aback by this unwarranted, outright hostility we asked to speak to the manager. To our horror the person responded with "I'm the owner".
At this point we're feeling completely unsafe staying at this place under any circumstances, we were completely intimidated. And even though we had literally just booked our stay, the owner still refused to allow us to cancel the booking and in the end it was the bank that refunded the amount, not the hotel.

Such kind people, rooms and bathrooms clean and everything so tidy. Owners are very efficient and accommodating, simply lovely here.

Absolutely super place to stay. Clean, comfortable and very friendly. Lovely breakfast. Would not hesitate to recommend.

I stayed here in September 2022 from Australia and booked 4 nights with my Dad and Brother. I was swimming the English Channel during this week and had a great stay with Michael (owner) and his wife. They were very accommodating to my unpredictable timetable as I waited for the weather gods to bring me ideal conditions for the voyage. Michael has a musical streak in him as he was inspired one morning over breakfast and started to sing and play a sea shanty on his guitar about my journey. I was going to give 4 stars as he didn't get past my name, but I had to give the extra star for entertainment value. I'm looking forward to returning to complete the double-crossing and hear the final rendition...! I was very grateful for the bottle of brandy Michael gifted me in honour of completing my challenge - THANK YOU! Fantastic hospitality.
