Stoulgrove Country House Bed & Breakfast- Award winning 5* - 9/10 Telegraph Review

Just stayed for 3 nights with my wife in the Monnow Suite. The suite was extremely comfortable with an ensuite bathroom and its own private sitting room. The house itself looks amazing and is surrounded by gorgeous grounds that would be lovely to relax in, weather permitting. We made use of the cinema room and the experience was incredible, amazing picture and sound and seats so comfortable you'd never want to go to a real cinema again. Sue and Richard were great hosts and Sue's breakfasts are delicious. We were made to feel welcome and comfortable the whole time we were there.

Lovely country house setting , so quiet and peaceful yet plenty to do in the surrounding area. Puzzlewood is well worth a visit to see the magical scenery where filming for Merlin, Doctor Who and Atlantis was done.
A totally relaxing couple of days, in a gorgeous setting, fantastic breakfast too!

This is the best B&B I've ever been to. Beautiful and thoughtful touches, coffee and cake on arrival, luxury at every opportunity. Excellent, warm and friendly hosts who can't do enough to make you comfortable. Brilliant from start to finish. Extraordinarily good breakfast. Thank you for a real treat x

Sue was a simply amazing host who made us feel so welcome from the moment we turned up.

The food was incredible, Sue really goes the extra mile. We had an afternoon tea fit for kings.

The games room and cinema really made the stay extra special.

An amazing place to stay with fabulous hosts Richard and Sue. Stoulgrove is the ideal place to use as a base with close proximity to the Breacon Becons, Bristol, Monmouthshire, Cotswalds, Forest of Dean and Chepstow. The quality of amenities and standard of rooms is in a class of its own. The owners are to be congratulated for the cleanliness and beauty of the B&B.

I had been in touch with Sue for a few years due to my wedding being postponed 3 times. At every stage Sue was supportive and made rearranging things easy and hassle free.

Myself, my mum and one of my bridesmaids stayed at Stoulgrove the night before my wedding. We were made to feel right at home instantly and Sue and Richard were very helpful letting us know how to use the room facilities.

My bridal party and I got ready at Stoulgrove on my wedding morning. We had a few hairdressers, a photographer and 2 makeup artists who Sue and Richard provided a wonderful room for them so they could set up. The atmosphere all morning was chilled and we all felt relaxed even though there are always a mix of emotions before you get married.

Sue provided an amazing, outstanding … words can not describe enough how wonderful the breakfast was. There was a variety of items to choose from fruit, porridge, pastries etc. Anything we wanted Sue and Richard accommodated.

I would recommend Stoulgrove to anyone and everyone! If you are in need of a break away or is perfect and if you are a bridal party looking for a place to get ready for your big day Stoulgrove is definitely that!
