5min walk from the centre. This is a friendly, clean and quiet B&B run by a lovely couple who are always available if you need anything. The breakfasts are amazing with a huge choice for every taste. Coffee making facilities are in the rooms and there are more supplies at the front desk which you can help yourself to. The honesty bar is open 24/7. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a delightful stay at the Windmill last week. Toby and Kathryn are very welcoming and helpful and the accomodation is all that we could have hoped for. They have achieved a standard that other B&Bs should aspire to. As other posts have indicated, Rye is a lovely place to visit and you could do no better than to stay at the Windmill. In fact we have already re-booked for next summer to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

Great Windmill B and B in Rye, although I didn't stay there it looks an amazing place to stay. The rooms look fabulous. It's only a short walk into town. I walked along the River Tillingham, a great River walk pathway that goes right beside the windmill and you can see how big it really is. You can walk from the main road down the pathway over the railway line, just be careful of the trains going by into and out of Rye station. Then you can walk very close to the windmill. Very unusual place to stay.

We were lucky enough to book the windmill suite which occupies the first and second floor of the actual windmill. It was a perfect weekend getaway. It was so clean and so comfortable. The suite has a large bath and shower, a hamper with plates/glasses/cutlery, a small refrigerator and microwave, a giant sleigh bed, a comfy loveseat, a table with two chairs, and a massive outdoor deck that is perfect for celebrating your special occasion. It has been one of the best B&B/hotel stays of our lives. The hosts are perfect in every way, accommodating and kind (and Toby is a great chef for one of the best full English breakfasts of your life — meat, vegan, or veg, he has you covered). I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. If we find ourselves back in Rye, this is, without a doubt, the place we'd stay again.

Jill & Pete October 22. We have just got back after a wonderful few days in Rye. The Rye Windmill was magnificent. The owners Toby and Kat were so welcoming. (Their dog Rafa and Cat Tortie were gorgeous and friendly too). The breakfast was the best we have had anywhere. Would love to go back there anytime.

Fantastic, comfy, spotless B&B. Toby & Kathryn provide lovely warm, friendly welcome to their guests. We have been coming here each year for 15 years. Rye is beautiful & quaint many eateries plus a cinema up near the old church.

We really enjoyed our two night stay at the windmill. The location was fantastic, loved the hospitality and was a really cool experience to stay in a windmill. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our time at the Rye Windmill. Bob and Kate were our hosts (standing in for the owners) and were very welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful - really good local knowledge, places to eat/drink; places to visit; walks/cycle rides etc. The breakfasts were fantastic. The location was in easy reach of places. Would definitely recommend.
