Shaw Gate Farm

We had a two-night stay. The family room was perfect for our family of five, very comfortable and immaculately clean. Breakfast was good and plentiful in a pleasant room and our host was friendly and accommodating. Even the shower worked well! It is all set in lovely countryside. We found a good eatery for evening meal at an inn in a nearby village. Thank you Nina

Great b&b. Met with a friendly welcome. Room was clean and smelt fresh but had that old fashioned feel that you expect. Beds were comfy and was lovely to wake up to the country views of black sheep grazing in the field. Breakfast was very tasty, all you can eat toast, cereal and juice with a full English. Very good value for money. Stayed for two nights when visiting Alton towers theme park and water park and would stay again if we come back.

This is one of the friendliest places I've ever stayed. The host Nina was so accommodating and friendly ensuring our needs were met immediately. Our room was very comfortable with a surprising 4 poster bed and large on suite. Slight hic-up with the hot water was quickly fixed and no further problems experienced. Plenty of coffee and tea available with more on request. Breakfast was delivered packed lunch style in line with the current climate and although this limited choice, it was more than adequate. Nina (and her lovely boys) had lots of tips for places to visit and clearly knew the area well. Very quiet location but excellent pub nearby for an evening meal. I would highly recommend this guest house for its beautiful surroundings, comfortable room and fantastic host. We are planning to return soon, it was that good!

Great place to stay with beautiful views. Nice pub within 5 minutes walk, close to Alton Towers. Nice and clean with a very friendly host. Family friendly. We'll stay again. Thank you for your hospitality :)

The rooms are clean, the beds are comfy and it was quite even when it's full. The views are beautiful and great location if you are a rambler. We stayed primarily for Alton Towers and it was only 15-20 minute drive through lanes. After having a lovely English breakfast and cereal with plenty of tea and coffee, it set us up for the day.
