Lovely B&B in a peaceful location. Stayed there this weekend with my sister, three children and a dog and had a lovely time. The owners made us all feel very welcome, the rooms were clean with amazing views and the breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone visiting the lakes.

Lovely B&B with fantastic room views in a peaceful area. Maureen, the owner is lovely and makes you feel at home. The property dates back to 1862 and is very comfortable. Although, set away from the busier parts of the Lakes, its a quick drive to the best bits. I'd highly recommend staying here to anyone in future.

A warm welcome, comfortable bed, dogs welcome. A great base to explore the lakes or like us take a nights rest on the way up to Scotland. Breakfast was tasty too.

We absolutely loved staying here. Couldn’t have been more welcoming. Comfortable, clean, stunning views and breakfast! Dog friendly too!

Really lovely place and stunning host Maureen. She went extra mile to make us feel comfortable for 3 night stay, she kindly allowed to use garage to store our bikes. Great view from front rooms, we had number 3, very decent size room with chest of drawers, hanger rack, table and bed with bedside tables. Bathroom has a shower and doesn't have radiator so I suggest to keep room's door open so it will be much more pleasant for showers during cold days. Hot breakfasts in the morning were super good, but they have to be requested the night before. Definitely will stay again once will be back to Lake District!

Very warm welcome, homely feel in a beautiful house and Maureen and Michael were lovely hosts. Excellent breakfast which Maureen very kindly put on early for us due to an early start. Highly recommended..

Maureen was the greatest host. We turned up soaked to the skin after abadoning our bike ride at Cartmel and arriving by taxi. Our amazing host took all our wet clothes and had them perfectly dry for the next day. Not only that but after a perfect stay and wonderful breakfast she drove us all the way back to Cartmel to continue our ride. We couldn't have asked for more.

Lovely old house 1862, in a gorgeous village with a fantastic pub The breakfast was delicious and the homemade bread and granola were a lovely touch Maureen was very friendly The only downside for me, which is due to my own personal taste, is the house is very old-fashioned and I prefer modern bathroom facilities I can’t say the property needs updating as this would not be in keeping with the age of the house and I would definitely stay there again
