The Old Hall Country House

Terrific property and Simon and Gary were awesome hosts! We stayed 6 nights and were extremely happy with both the accommodations and the food. The house has a very interesting history which Simon knew intimately. He was most helpful; couldn't do enough for us.
The room was well appointed and spotless as was the rest of the house. Breakfast was first rate with many personal touches (homemade jams, fresh eggs from their hens, gluten free fare available). Both are very good cooks!
The grounds cover 2 acres; include a fish pond, sitting area and flower gardens; all well cared for.
Both Simon and Gary were very personable and professional. They have a gem of a property!

Perfection. I have stayed in dozens of B&B's and this is far the best. You could spend all day trying to find fault and not find anything. The breakfast was simply magnificent. The garden is better than most country houses and if the top standard. Well kept, pretty and 2 1/2 acres, with sun lounges as well. And excellent value for money. Lastly, best bed ever.

A beautiful place to stay with a host in Simon who makes the experience of staying even better. The location is perfect for visits to Stoke on Trent and there are a host of great local pubs to eat at within 20 minutes. Breakfast was ideal and would recommend the oatcakes! Would love to stay again.

Me and my husband Ian have been to the old hall quite a few times and love it so much Simon and Gary are great hosts and we feel its like home from home

Just returned from an overnight stay in the Charles 11 suite was absolutely superb hosts were lovely set in the most beautiful gardens everything to the highest standard food was gorgeous can't wait to go back again absolutely first class love from the Kirbys

The old hall country house is absolutely beautiful the rooms are really nice and the service is brilliant. Beautiful grounds and so peaceful. Winners of 4 in the bed series. Honestly if you want a weekend to relax this is the place you should come to.

This was a Charity event for SSAFA ( The Armed Forces Charity ). Beautiful House, Fantastic Gardens. Having lived in this village for 65 years always wondered what was at the rear of the property but with Gary & Simon allowing people in to their property .This would be a fantastic place to anyone wanting to stay the night. Absolutely exceptional in ever aspect, from the marvellous warm welcome, from the amazing Simon, what a host, so friendly, helpful and interested. The bedrooms are warm and beautifully furnished, with every necessity thought of and more. Lots of generous touches, complimentary Sherry in a lovely crystal decanter and glasses, plus so much more. The stunning gardens were beautiful kept and well designed, a pleasure to walk around, a credit to the owner.
The Old Country House, just keeps giving with fascinating history and gorgeous period decor, and thoughtfully furnished. We felt very spoilt and were made to feel very special, thank you Simon & Gary you deliver a great experience.
