The Bartholomew Arms

The staff were friendly, although upon entering into the pub, it was very tired, dated and scruffy. There was not a food option and we had to travel a further 5miles to a nearby pub. The room was ok, and again the breakfast was basic with no cooked food option. I do not believe that the £70 paid was worth it.

Marvellous pub. I'd advise going early doors on a Sunday as they have free cheese and pickled onions upon the bar. They have BT sports here and some very groovy gins. Oh! They also have phone charging if you ask Moe nicely too.

Stayed for 2 nights. Room very clean and comfortable. The landlords had only taken over this week, but they have already made great strides on improving and putting their own stamp on everything. Very warm and welcoming people. Would definitely return.

Had a very nice Italian meal, beautifully cooked. My friends and I really enjoyed it. A nice atmosphere in the pub with friendly bar staff made it a great evening. Can wait till the next time.

Also the blonde lady that works there Sarah I think her name is about 65years old , she was very rude and uptight. Didn’t make us feel very welcome & me and my husband spent a decent amount of money there. My husband said she tried to get his number when I had gone to the bathroom. Desperate much!

Extremely hospitable owners, clean rooms, excellent value. No hot food, but we were supplied with plates & cutlery to eat at a pub table, with food from one of several nearby takeaways who deliver to the pub.
