We were late booking but were lucky enough to take the last room.
There was a very warm welcome from Trish & Steve and nothing seemed too much trouble for them.
Be aware that credit cards are not accepted, cash or debit cards only. Understandable when card charges are carried by the seller.
The room was smallish but very comfortable and scrupulously clean. There were several thoughtful extra treats too.
Breakfast had to be ordered the evening before, which was not a problem. It was very tasty with fresh local produce and options for extra hot drinks and toast.
There is free street parking and there are several restaurants within walking distance.
All in all we spent a very enjoyable stay and would not hesitate to return.

Positive: The welcome was warm and we were offered a cup of tea or coffee served with a chocolate. Throughout our short stay (just overnight) our host was helpful and made the stay extra enjoyable. Our room was spacious, with excellent soft furnishings, a large, comfortable bed and everything you could need. The bathroom had a walk in shower and everywhere was spotless. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and we were asked if we wanted more toast or tea/coffee. We parked on the street and ate at a lovely little restaurant Bistro Bach, just around the corner. I expect that we will be going back and will definitely return to this lovely B&B.. Negative: Nothing.

Dave and Ali are the new owners of The Carmen and are settling in to the hospitality business. We have stayed here several times over the years and the layout/routines are much the same under the new owners which is pleasing to regular guests. Room 3 is a small double we have used 3 times in the past and it was as expected spotlessly clean and comfortable. Every room requirement was catered for including fresh milk for the tea. Breakfast was an improvement in mind as Dave did poached eggs which I am sure were not offered before. The bacon and the sausage were outstanding and there was plenty of toast and tea refills. Dave and Ali will be great hosts once they settle down and I am sure the Carmen will continue to be a good value, great place to stay in a relatively quiet part of town with free on road parking. Bus access into the town centre is a 100 yds away and the journey takes 3 minutes. A bus 24 hrs day saver which you can use to go all over North Wales is £5.20 each.

Our second stay at the Carmen, this time under the new ownership of Dave and Ali. A warm welcome was given on arrival by Dave, we were in room 9 on the top floor which has a very comfortable king size bed, it was certainly more comfortable than our last visit in this same room, maybe a new mattress or bed? Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, the fresh milk in the communal fridge was a great idea, much better than UHT milk which is awful. A good quiet location away from the bars, but plenty of convenience shops and small restaurants within a short walk. Would highly recommend, thanks Dave and Ali, wishing you all the best for the future!

We had a wonderful week at this spotlessly clean, beautiful house. Dave and Ali the hosts, we're wonderful, they took care of everything we needed with no fuss or bother. We stayed in Room 2, it is beautiful!!! A big room, lots of space and again spotless!!! Great breakfast, lots of choice!!! Location is great, close to the pier if you want to head that way and close to the west shore if you prefer the peace and quiet ideal location!!! We have stayed in Llandudno many times and this has been the best accommodation we have stayed. Thanks Dave and Ali, we will definitely be back later in the year!!!
