Peaceful guest house and a fantastic hostess.

Ruth is a wonderful hostess of this lovely B&B. Situated up in the hills not too far from the A55 (junction 14) and a perfect location for exploring North Wales. Her personality is very befitting of her home. She makes wonderful home cooked food at a very reasonable price for 3 courses, me and my wife throughly enjoyed and couldn't recommend more (especially if you are lucky enough to arrive when she has made homemade lemon cheese cake).

Thank you Ruth for making our 1st anniversary at your guest house one to remember. We would definitely visit again and again even if it was just for her food ☺

Thanks again

Stayed for one night - I can heartily recommend it for anyone seeking peaceful seclusion. Despite this, its actually only a mile or so from the main road and easy to reach, albeit along a couple of narrow roads.

We stayed for both dinner and breakfast, both were excellent. Our room overlooked the valley and the views too were superb.

Wifi worked well and faultlessly for us. As you might imagine, its tougher to catch a mobile signal - '3' was out of touch. Parking was fine too.

Ruth was unfailingly polite and helpful throughout. My only regret was not booking for longer.

Simply WOW. I cannot find any faults at all with this B&B. If you want a place that you can just chill and relax, this is it. The view, the service, the amenities and the food was amazing. I really wish i could have stayed there linger. Ruth is a generous and gracious host. I am jealous that she actually gets to live there!!

To call Rhiwiau off the beaten track would be an understatement, but leaving the beaten track behind in order to get here is well worth the effort. The peace and quiet of this place is hard to imagine, but the views as you look out from the breakfast table are absolutely first rate.

The breakfast itself is also great, even when there are dietary restrictions to take into consideration. The bedroom and other facilities are fine, and you can admire the views from seats outside if the weather is good, or from the lounge if it isn't.

Evening meals are also available if you plan it beforehand. These too are very nice. And as for the staff, they couldn't be better. This is not a budget price place to stay, and if you want city life you're also looking in the wrong place; but for having a quiet, relaxing time away and this place is hard to beat. My wife and I will certainly be coming back here some time.

I stay at lots of different B&Bs and hotels for work across the UK. Easily one of the best is the Rhiwiau! Cannot recommend them enough for the friendliness, room cleanliness, food and general service. My first stay was in 2013 and have been back every year since, why go elsewhere!?

Honestly one of the most wonderful places to visit. Ruth is a fabulous hostess, food is amazing. You will not get better views anywhere else and has everything you could possibly need. It's so peaceful being up the valley but also close to essential amenities and also lots of places to visit and explore whichever direction you go. If you are looking at the reviews to decide if you want to visit, please book up - you will not be disappointed!
