Nicely kept Guest House on the road to the beach in Tywyn with excellent breakfast, however for me being in a single the charge was a little high and hence the rating. For a pair I think the rating would be a lot higher, and could easily have been a 5. No on site parking but a few on street places outside but may not be available in the peak

Superb guest house. Close to sea front and to the town. From here you really don't need a car. Paula's and Shaun are very welcoming. Breakfasts particularly superb. Clean and well run.

I had booked and paid for two nights in another hotel up the road, but when I arrived there it turned out they had double booked and no room for me... fortunately I found alternative accommodation at the Monfa Guest House and that turned out to be really nice. The owners are very friendly and made me feel really welcome. I coud park my motorbike in the front garden rather than on the road. There was a little problem with the room lights but they sorted it out without fuss. The room was big and clean, breakfast was excellent, and the local attractions are within walking distance (sea front and the Talyllyn Railway). Recommended!

I wish there was a way to give rhis amazing place more than 5 stars! We have now stayed here a few times and have another stay booked at the end of the month and I can't wait. The hotel itself is run by a family and that is how you are treated from the moment you arrive, like family. The rooms we have stayed in have been clean and comfortable, all have been en suite. The old landlady by the door with a rolling pin at 10pm doesn't count here either as all gusts get a front door key and can come and go as they please. There are tea and coffee making facilities in all rooms and the tea and coffee etc are provided and refreshed as necessary during your stay, you are also provided with the hosts mobile number so if you run out of something and can't see them you can let them know. Breakfast is served in the dining room and there are fresh juices and cereals to choose from before moving onto the full English which is made from quality ingredients and prepared by. Decent chef!! All rooms have a view od the beach or of the mountains behind. It's a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to the town, lots of activities around the area and the hosts are full of information and directions to vet you wherever you want to go. Paula and Shaun are the nicest people in the world and nothing is too much trouble, they love to have a chat and really make you feel valued as a customer, we would never stay anywhere else in this part of the world and look forward to many, many more holidays with the Monfa family.
