If you don’t go anywhere else in 2018 make sure you go here! Warm, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend it as a great base for discovering North Wales and/or having a break before hopping over to Ireland. Certainly the best accommodation I have stayed in a long time.

If you want a continuous view of Snowdonia, from the Carneddau , Snowdon massif, down to the Pennant hills and Lleyn, this is the place. On a clear day. On a cloudy, rainy day , enjoy the spacious lounge area of this self contained B&B unit. Complete with a fridge stocked with a good choice of continental breakfast foods ,bread and cake and juice and lunch biscuits, and cereals as well. Serve yourself. The bedroom is small and has a small chest of drawers ( we just used our bags) and the shower room is spacious, with a good electric shower. Maes Hyfryd is 2 minutes from the A55, 25 from Ogwen, Llanberis or Holyhead, Tina is on hand or on a phone if you need , and the whole area is welcoming.

Stayed here a couple of times and highly recommend this accommodation for a relaxed stay and warm welcome from Tina. Everything you could ask for and easy access for North Wales and all it has to offer.

An excellent annexe which was lovely and cosy for our stay. Tina our host was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spotlessly clean. There was a well stocked fridge with everything we needed and more! fresh Orange , water, butter, cheese, ham and tomatoes. There was also cereals , bread and marmalade plus a variety of teas and coffees. I would fully reccomend Maes Hyfryd to anyone and if we are holidaying in North Wales we would certainly book again.

This is a wonderful little self catering annexe to Tina's home. You couldn't want for a better host! So generous, kind and caring and everything you need for a stay away from home. Little touches like cake, milk and bread left, tea bags, coffee and cereals, much appreciated! Very clean and nice high, comfy big bed. Fantastic little shower and stylish, light accomodation with patio doors from the lounge and bedroom. The views of the mountains are lovely and inspirational and the chinese opposite and chippy down the road are really convenient and recommended. Thank you Tina for a wonderful stay, can't wait to see you again!
