This place is a little gem in an area that already seems saturated with Bed and Breakfasts. I only stayed here for one night, but wish that it could have been more.

Pros:

Peter, the owner, is extremely accommodating. I cannot speak highly enough of him. Not only did he agree to pick me up and drop me off in Brecon, but he also shipped me my phone charger after I had forgotten it. He made me a small dinner free of charge and greeted me with a generous helping of red wine and tea--a welcome sight after a tiring day of walking in The Beacons.

The rooms are a massive value. For less than half of the price of a hotel room, I got so much more: wonderful quaint decorations, flowers, books, a sofa, chairs, a table, a spacious bathroom, and a wonderfully plush bed.

The location is beautiful. I love that there are chickens, geese, ducks, and swans roaming freely about the yard (and sometimes even the house!). This is a very comfortable and laid back place where you don't have to be afraid of tracking in a little dirt.

The breakfast is amazing! I had the works--the full-on English breakfast, and it was fantastic. I had so much food that I didn't need to eat again until 6:00 PM, so really it might as well be a Bed & Breakfast & Lunch!

Cons:

I couldn't have stayed longer.

If you want a place to stay where you'll be treated like family rather than a customer, this is it. Look no further than The Old Store House!

What a gem of a b&b! Very atypical, but if you are looking for a cosy and romantic place, this is definitely the place to stay for you. We stayed in the attic, which is a bit different from the rest of the b&b, but what an experience it was. We had our own log fire and a beautiful view. If you like things to be extremely tidy and organised, this is not gonna be your cup of tea, but if you enjoy the cozy warmth of a fantastic place, with an ever friendly host who will not only serve you some tea, wine or coffee anytime of day but on top also has a great sense of humour and prepares a delicious breakfast with the best bacon and sausages you ever had, do yourself a favour and stay here, forgetting all worries at once.

(Translated by Google) I stayed here with my family on a tour of Wales last year. Peter is the most delightful host and serves an incredible breakfast! Arrive early enough to enjoy an evening of sparkling conversation.

Arhosais yma gyda fy nheulu ar daith o amgylch Cymru y llynedd. Mae Peter yn y llu mwyaf hyfryd ac yn gwasanaethu brecwast anhygoel! Cyrhaeddwch yn ddigon cynnar i fwynhau noson o sgwrs pefriog.

The Old Storehouse was a splendid find online. Peter is an incredible host; very welcoming and friendly. He also makes a splendid breakfast, in addition to his must have cakes!

The building, as you might have seen in the photos, has wonderful characteristics, and the room I stayed in was spacious and very comfortable.

My only regret was the fact I could only stay one night. However, I'm looking forward to my next stay.
