The Draen

A lovely B&B in a peaceful, scenic setting. A friendly welcome after our journey to Wales and it was very thoughtful to be served tea and tasty biscuits. The room was very clean with everything you need, including a large comfortable bed, soft fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries. A delicious full English breakfast along with a wide variety of cereal, juice and fruit were also available. The owners, Sue and Johnny ensure everything is perfect for your stay. Definitely on a list of places that we will stay at again.

This is the best B&B I have ever stayed at and I will definitely be returning! Located in a beautiful and really peaceful area I had the best nights sleep I have ever had. The beds are really comfortable and I would recommend staying in the bluebell room.
Breakfast was delicious and there was lots to chose from. We sat in the conservatory overlooking the garden which was a perfect way to start the day.
Sue made us feel really welcome and if you want somewhere to stay where you can truly relax and enjoy peace and quiet, this is the place to come.

I stayed here in the Rose suite in Nov 19 and had the most wonderful time. Sue and Johnny had the log burner lit ready on arrival and was the most lovely hosts during our stay. Lovely and cosy it was a real dreamy comfy bedroom and en-suite!! Downstairs there was a stylish country living room with a log burner and Sky TV. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and you could choose what you wanted and your preferred time too. Cannot recommend this place enough, ideal location to Brecon town and the Welsh showground is only a real short drive away. The best little B&B in Wales :) thanks for a lovely time, we will be back x

A nice find, would recommend to anyone. The rooms are very spacious and well presented. Sue is a most welcoming host. A delicious breakfast is served with plenty of variety. Set in a beautiful little valley overlooking the Black Mountains. Who could ask for more. Nice relaxing atmosphere.

We had a wonderful stay in The Draen! We stayed over a long weekend to go to the Hay Festival. The Draen is well located, being around 15 minutes drive from the festival site. The area is very quiet, and all we could hear were the birds. The bed was very comfortable and the room well sized. Everything was super clean. The breakfast was very tasty and generous. Susan, our host, was amazingly friendly! We had a brilliant time and we'll definitely be back.

Sue & Jonny made us most welcome in their delightfully remote farmhouse. Our well appointed en-suite double room was airy and comfortable. Each morning began with a superb traditional breakfast, expertly cooked by Jonny. We would thoroughly recommend Draen b&b to anyone wanting a getaway break such as ours, and would certainly revisit.

We had a great stay at the Draen. Sue and Jonny were great hosts. Nothing too much trouble and we were spoilt. Jonny made the best breakfast ever; I now need to go on a diet! If you are going to the Black Mountains or Brecon Beacons this is the best B and B you will ever find! The best place we’ve ever stayed. Thanks!

We have just returned from a long weekend at The Draen B@B. It is in an idyllic spot and the farmhouse allows for a Covid secure stay due to the configuration of room layout. Our room was so comfortable and warm with a lovely comfortable bed. The en-suite had a large bath with complementary bubble bath, lovely.
The breakfast menu was comprehensive and we struggled to finish it all, very generous and beautifully cooked and presented.
This B@B is perfectly situated for exploring this beautiful area and our hosts were delightful and so accommodating. We really wish you well with your business in these difficult times.
