Great spot just off the centre of Hay. Lovely rooms, and host. Really nice continental breakfast with great choice.

Absolutely perfect - beautiful room, great location, big and comfy bed, clean and cozy. This place is a gem.

I deeply regret that I haven’t reserve the continental breakfast with them - I’ll definitely do it next time.

If you’re doing book hunting, the Hay Cinema Bookshop is just a minute away.

A querky 16th century house situated within Hay-on-Wye book town and just round the corner from the river. Lovely old fashioned property with excellent breakfast and a David was a lovely, friendly host.

We stayed at Radnor House for our wedding. We were originally going to stay for four nights, but ended up only staying for two. My wife has a severe dust mite allergy, and began getting symptoms after a few minutes of being in Room 3. We were under the impression that the room would have wooden floors, but it had carpets. Though I don’t think it would have mattered either way, as the whole property was incredibly dusty and dirty. Cobwebs everywhere and dust in every corner. I know Radnor House is a historic site, but there is a difference between historic and run-down. As a side note, we were also promised a bath in the room, but ended up with the only room that had a shower. A shower that was too short for me to use anyway. We were also promised champagne, as the trip was for our wedding. No champagne was found, and the owner had apparently even forgotten why we were visiting. The bed was also very stiff and hard. Historical again? And there is no accessibility to speak of. Good luck trying to get onto that property if you have any walking problems. When we complained to the owner about my wife’s allergies, his only suggestion was for us to make our other friends (staying in Room 1) move out of their carpet-free room. How is that appropriate? In the end my wife only ended up staying in the room for one night, and spent the night before her wedding sharing a bed with her little sister. Also, her symptoms lessened immediately after leaving the property, but the damage was already done, and she had some degree of symptoms the entire wedding weekend. I also got some respiratory problems from the place, and I don’t even have any known allergies.
We eventually got a refund for the last day, which is good, as we only stayed there for 2/4 of the days. But if we hadn’t gotten the money back, I would have wanted to give a zero star review.
If you have any allergies whatsoever, definitely avoid the Radnor House.

A lovely house, full of ancient character and ideally situated in the centre of Hay-on-Wye with all that it has to offer. Our room (number 3 at the top) was very clean, very nicely furnished with a comfortable bed and great ensuite shower / bathroom. Breakfast was excellent with many choices. David and Julia were friendly and helpful and made lovely hosts. I would highly recommend Radnor House.

Totally unique B&B. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Radnor House, fascinating decor, totally in keeping with the age of the house. We half expected Mr Darcy to walk in!
Julia and David were superb hosts, very friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing, breakfast immense and we recommend the Homity Pie for supper. The position of the house is great for walking in the area, Hay Bluff and Twmpa are a must but if that's a bit too strenuous then give the river walk a try.
Thank you both for a very memorable short break.

Such a lovely relaxed spot to explore Hay from. David is a fantastic host, warm and personable, in a welcoming and charming house; our room was spacious, airy and breakfasts were smashing too. Highly recommend!
