Borderers Guesthouse

Wow, what a hidden gem. Gail, the owner, is truly meant for the role she is in. She was so warm and inviting after a long day of traveling to Brecon. The room was large, had all the amenities we could wish for, a comfy bed, different teas to choose from and historic charm. Gail helped us before our trip to figure out plans around the national park and while we were there she pointed us towards great food and sites to see. She spoiled us every morning with a delicious breakfast that was truly made with love. She also makes her own bread every day, it was incredible. The location is great, we were able to walk everywhere around town from the Inn. I can't stop telling everyone about what a wonderful stay we had.

I know it sounds like I'm exaggerating but I'm not. Gail is just one of those warm souls who is a natural and joyful host, You can tell she truly loves what she does- the Inn itself and the experience there shows it. I've traveled all around the world and this is up there as one of my best Inn experiences. I can't wait to come back here with my family.

Great location in town and host was very knowledgeable on what was going on and exciting things to do while we were there!
We contacted the host before booking which enabled us to get a good room that was well suited to our needs and because we booked direct we even saved money on the room!
Breakfast was delicious and I was especially pleased by the effort the host had gone through to ensure everything was sourced ethically. A lot of thought had clearly been put in to the whole place and the host was exceptional!
Definitely will be booking again!

Host was exceptional, very welcoming and kind.
B&b has a good location close to many shops and restaurants.
Recommend booking direct as this gave us a better price and we contacted the bnb before booking to get best room for our needs.
Room was a nice size and had everything we needed.
Breakfast was lovely and tailored to my veggie needs !!
Will book again had a lovely time.

We (my son and I) stayed a few nights at the Borderers while on a walking holiday. The room was perfect, location excellent, and breakfast delicious.
Gail is the perfect host, a fascinating polymath who runs the b&b with ease. Thanks for making us feel so welcome. We were sorry to leave, and will return!

what a lovely place. Gail was amazing, so cheerful and very helpful. pleasure to meet. the room was great with a fab shower. the borderers was in a fantastic location to get everywhere. breakfast was great. Chris said poached eggs were lovely. Gail is certainly a great host and does a great job, she is made for this. we'll done Gail. all the best for the furure x

Gail and her b&b are a hidden gem. Her knowledge of the area made our stay easier to plan. Her bubbly personality gave us plenty of laughs and my our stay more enjoyable. The b&b is in a perfect central location for all your outings whether on foot or driving. Breakfast excellent and accessible room was perfect for my needs. Gail we will definitely be back next spring.

Amazing and gorgeous guesthouse. Super tidy and clean, spotles. Very cosy and comfy here. WiFi available also. The decor fits perfectly with this little town. The staff are just amazing,so so friendly. Will always go out of their way to help. I can only recommend 47 the borderers.
I loved every second here. If you havnt been here, then you are definitely missing out. Thank you so much for making our stay this amazing.

Everything that's said about Gail Is true. What a wonderful warm human being she is. The accommodation is good, clean and warm lots of added charm like special teas and lovely bathroom things. We had a lovely time, oh and the best scrambled egg I've ever had. We love you Gail ❤️
